Firmware rollouts are usually staggered, meaning not all users will receive the update simultaneously. This approach allows us to monitor for any issues and ensure a smooth and stable deployment.

  1. Reduced stuttering.
  2. Improved Active Noise Cancellation in windy conditions.
  3. Improved voice clarity during calls.

    Reduced stuttering:

    -I just started stuttering!

I had no problems until the previous fw version.

    With this update it stutters!

I use OnePlus 12 with LHDC 192kHz/adaptive bitrate

munnageorge2003 I have also had issues with this. 900 kpbs or more will make the earbuds stutter a lot. Contacted Nothing Support about it and they told me to use AAC which I feel like defeats the purpose of the earbuds having true Hi-Res audio. :/

      Hi all,

Just did a comprehensive comparison to see whether there is a significant improvement in voice clarity during calls between the older firmware 1.0.1.46 vs the newly released firmware 1.0.1.52.

Check it out and let me know if you hear any significant improvements in this aspect of the update.

      Cheers!

Same problem on Nothing Phone 2 with AAC. Before update didn’t encounter any stutters.

UPD.: got stutter once 1-2 hour after update. No more stutters occurs.

Will the ear a receive this update too ?

After this update, the wind noise is significantly worse for me. The buds were pretty good at eliminating it before this update. Now, it seems like it isn’t doing anything at all. If there is any more info I can provide to assist, please let me know

I have just purchased my first Nothing product the Nothing Ear. First thing I did when setting up the buds was to install the firmware update so I can’t speak for previous versions but I must say I am very disappointed with their performance on this latest FW version. I am using them with an iPhone 15pro so that must be through AAC. The connection is unstable, I experience frequent stuttering and cutting out of the music. Also sometimes the pair just gets de-synced and one side is slightly lagging behind for a few seconds making the music sound absolutely horrific, after which comes a 1-2 second pause, then the music continues again synced in both ears. I experience these bugs several times daily, even tried returning the product to the retailer, which they refused due to hygiene reasons which is fair but now I’m stuck with a product that is very buggy and does not live up to my expectations at all. Only thing I can hope now is that these issues get fixed in a future FW update, so please fix it asap!

biorobot This might be an isolated case. You do have the warranty right?.

I just got my buds today and immediately noticed a hissing sound, like static, on the left earbud. I updated the firmware to this and the buzzing sound still appeared. I’ve reset twice now and both times the solution was temporary. The hissing sound would come back. Turning off anc and transparency seems to be the only way to stop the sound. Anyone else having this issue?

Hey why does nothing ear doesnt have spatial audio feature ,as cmf buds pro have those ,like we are spending almost nearly 12 k for nothing ear and doesnt have that feature …

Since this update, the wind noise has become much more noticeable for me. The earbuds used to be quite effective at reducing it, but now it feels like they aren’t doing anything especially while on the bike. The previous version was great.

Firmware (bot) No difference between ANC high, mid, low, adaptive, and OFF, at all! I hear every quiet sound of a TV in the room or small talk in another room, not to mention all the surrounding sounds in the street. But at the same time, the sound of the music is great. How come?
