I have got the Nothing Phone (1) , 256GB storage and 12GB RAM variant in the UK. I have encountered issues in 3 areas since using the phone for the last month. I am not sure if other users have faced similar issues.
- Notification sounds in WhatsApp - I have set this to no sound but still the notification sound plays whenever a message is received. I can’t seem to be able to turn it off when Glyph notifications are enabled.
- In screen fingerprint reader becomes unresponsive when trying to unlock the phone when it is ringing or sometimes without any reason the phone won’t unlock with the fingerprint. It does not even give the alternative to enter the PIN to unlock it.
- Wireless charging is hit and miss. Sometimes I put the phone on the charger and it starts charging properly and sometimes it would not charge even if it is kept in the same position. A couple of times it charges normally up to 90% and then stops charging wirelessly.
I was expecting a few teething issues initially when the phone was launched but these annoyances are making the experience unpleasant for me as an end user and also as a crowdfunding investor.
@Rudi and other members of the Nothing team, can you please advise how these issues can be addressed with my Nothing Phone (1) to make my experience outstanding and pleasurable.
