What are the key differences in features and performance between the Nothing Phone 2 and the Nothing Phone 2a plus, and which one offers better value for a budget-conscious buyer?

There is absolutely no reason to make a revision model of 2a so early on. I mean the a concept isn’t even settled in the market yet. You guys started a movement in the industry with original Nothing Phone 1 and 2 and just threw everything out the window by making this plus variant.

The public will think of you as yet another Oppo and Vivo with so many countless and pointless variants. This was a terrible decision to make Carl.

    Thought you were smarter.

So, Nothing’s back at it again with the Phone 2a Plus! They’ve taken the solid foundation of the 2a and given it a little boost with a faster processor and an upgraded selfie camera. Plus, that faster charging is a nice touch. On paper, it’s definitely an improvement over the original.

But here’s the thing: why now? The 2a is still relatively new. It sorta feels like they’re rushing things a bit. To me, this phone seems tailored for those who loved the 2a but craved a bit more power and camera quality. It’s like Nothing listened to their fans and delivered a specific upgrade. Which is good, and we need more companies who actually listen to what the people want. However, a $50 difference between the two models makes the 2a Plus feel more like a minor refresh than a completely new phone. I can’t help but wonder if these upgrades should have been part of the original 2a.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m intrigued by the Phone 2a Plus and would love to get my hands on it, as well as all the other products Nothing makes. Nothing has a unique appeal, and I’m a fan of their overall aesthetic. It definitely deserves more recognition, especially here where I live in Florida. But this particular release leaves me with mixed feelings. It’s like it’s caught in a weird spot in the lineup.

Do you think it’s a necessary part of the lineup?

      Hello friends,
I like android phones with great design. I recently bought a CMF Phone and I am loving it.

Today I saw Nothing 2a plus and decided to buy it when it release.

I came across a youtube video review on Trakin Track channel and I found this Image.

It has yellowish/Ornage line across the back side of the phone. I hope we will see special edition of 2a Plus too.

Which is the expected release date (availability) for the 2a+ in Italy ant the rest of Europe? Do we have to wait until September to have the 2a+ on our hands?

I’m really disappointed that my new 2a is outdated right now. Not a good move to release new versions twice a year.

I just became a Nothing fan and now I’m really disappointed. Will Nothing really become a company having high phone model output instead of products in clear categories and a clear vision?

sean (1) Okay, the engineer in me is telling me this is a matter of two different people posting. One used 2 decimal points, the other was lazy and used one. lol

Thanks, I’m sure the cases are compatible now.

Am not able to find the news widget in my phone 2a. How to add that?

sumitm I don’t have it on my Nothing Phone 2 either. We have to wait for the Nothing Widget app to update.

I think, MTK made an offer to be the first company that could get the 7350 chip and nothing could not refuse it.

A good starting place is to compare specs at GSMArena.com. There are already reviews of the (2a) Plus elsewhere on the world wide web.

Neither the phone (2) or (2a) suit my needs, but the (2a) Plus does and at a good price. Essentially, if you can live without wireless charging go for the (2a) Plus (subject to regional pricing), but the choice is yours.

“It can deliver up to two days of use on a full charge and retains over 90% of its full capacity, even after 1,000 charging cycles”

This was said for 2a and I am charging it twice a day

Ealesy101 the last drop was the special edition and that wasn’t too popular if I remember the recap on here correctly.

I’m currently using phone 1 and still undecided whether to get this new one or wait for phone 3. Will there be any special promotion for the drop? India seems to get quite a discount for the launch.
