Hi there!

I have the phone (2) and I’ve recently encountered a problem that’s become quite annoying: my contactless won’t work!

The last few times I tried to pay for something, the payment terminals have shown some kind of message along the lines of authorization declined or unsupported card. However, I have used these cards through contactless countless times before. What’s even more weird is that the phone doesn’t have any feedback at all when attempting to make the transaction. It doesn’t vibrate like it usually did, it doesn’t say declined, it doesn’t even register that I am trying to make a payment.

I have checked the play store and there are no pending updates for Google wallet. I have tried restarting my phone. I have cleared the cache from Google wallet and Google play services. Nothing seems to work. I’ve run out of ideas.

Has anyone faced this problem before and/or knows how to resolve this? Any help would be much appreciated! 🙂)))

(FYI I am running Nothing OS 2.6)

    NFC options :

    Google Wallet settings : is it allowed to run in background, your card is set in Wallet, by default…

    Make sure to hold the phone for a long duration on the screen of the payment machine, to make sure NFC transmits correctly data.

    Unfortunately, none of these worked either.

    I know this is very simple IT advice but, have you:

    (a) tried to switch it off and on again
    (b) cleared app data, cache, etc
    © backup the device, reset and restore

    If you haven’t dropped your device recently, this is likely a small software bug which is easily resolved (I had a Pixel 7 with the same issue)

      chavdamc Tried removing the card and adding a new one. Didn’t work unfortunately 🙁

      hrry I tried restarting the device, clearing the app cache and data. These didn’t work.

      I haven’t tried resetting the entire device but I don’t want to try this unless that’s really the only option. (Although it’s seemingly close to becoming so 🥲)

      I was hoping it was some bug with the Nothing OS 2.6 because I remember seeing some mentions of updates to the Google Wallet in the update logs. So maybe a software update will fix it 🤞

      Do you remember if the software update u had was for your phone’s OS or just a Google wallet update?

      Whats the update, can you share some screenshots if possible? Google wallet has received several updates, has there been any change?

      I have exactly the same problem as you described. I tried all of the proposed solutions without any luck.
      Did you solve the issue somehow?

      Maybe issue is on the bank side, try to search bank app options

      @“MarcinG”#p104211Apparently you didn’t read the whole issue properly. It’s not the bank’s problem. It is a problem that the phone does not respond to the payment terminal at all. By the way, I have cards from several different banks in my phone and payment does not work with any of them.

      Sadly, similar issue, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and it’s not a on of, now pretty much every time I know I’ll be traveling I gotta be ready for to not read at least a couple of times, extremely inconvenient especially in busy areas or buses.
