CMF Phone 1 Set-Up Problem

Hi, I just received my CMF Phone 1 in the mail and I’m super excited!.. but there’s a problem.

I bought it on ebay because it was sold out everywhere else. When it got to me, the phone was already set up and running on standard Android OS. I specifically wanted to use Nothing OS. So with that in mind and out of an abundance of caution for my data, I factory reset the phone.

It is showing the normal Nothing set-up screen, great! the issue is that after selecting the language, it says I have to insert a sim card that is valid specifically in India. I am located in the US. What do I do? I cannot seem to do anything at the moment to get around this so any help would be appreciated

StephenMagnus Hello, devices produced in India are created for that market and require an Indian SIM to activate them.

Once a device is set-up with an Indian SIM , it be used in other locations, however, a full device reset will mean activation is needed again.
