Not in the sense of an app solely dedicated to community right now. However, there are a few tentpoles we’ll be focusing on in the early stages: namely our social channels, this forum, and then looking at other platforms as both we and our community grow in tandem and we build out our ecosystem.

Does Nothing have a social media page in FB? Couldn’t find one.

I think this conversation should start with what a dedicated app can offer that a traditional website cannot.

It can be convenient, but I do think that if Nothing is going to invest the resources down the line to develop one, the presentation of the forums and specifically the threads should be reworked.

I have visited the forums from a laptop and from a smartphone. The one thing I miss while using a smartphone is the “Latest Activity” section. It’s quite useful to see, well, the latest activity. Using the mobile version, I can only see the latest replied thread on each section - that can be a problem when the forums get more people.

Even asking for the “desktop site” does not allow for the “latest activity” to be summoned.

But what I miss the most so far are the notifications. We have some control over them on the settings, but they are about getting them via the web and/or email - we have six parameters to refine.

I don’t know exactly how, but I think getting a traditional notification based on those six parameters, not only could be useful, it could also make members visit the forums (when someone replies to you, for example, I do think most people would be online when they get an opportunity) more often.

Perhaps that will be possible if/when Nothing launches something tied to “other platforms as both we and our community grow in tandem and we build out our ecosystem”, like @Matt mentioned.

Cheetosdust I think this conversation should start with what a dedicated app can offer that a traditional website cannot.

This is indeed what should be the main focus, because the truth is if the website is done properly and using latest tech available, it should be able to serve the purpose and offer a integrated experience to the nothing users, either they are browsing in the website on their phone or PC/tablet.

Investing resources now in an new app that won’t offer more than what you get on the web version, probably isn’t the best approach for Nothing right now.

But yeah, like you just said, the website version does need some small optimizations to help increase its usability.

I think its high time that nothing should have an app featuring store and community. A community app will be highly appreciable @Carl @Rudi

How about a Nothing community app?

      Hell Yea!!!!!
      Naah! M Good
      This poll has ended.

I personally would rather Nothing concentrate on their products, this web based community works for me!

Yeah I’m not sure what extra an app would bring over the forum we already have! And Carl has confirmed they’re working on merch, which I assume they’ll also sell through the website eventually. But understandably it’s not a priority for them rn 😆

What say community members develop the community app?

I already have some designs put up. We will definitely find developers to spend some time on developing community app.

It will be cool brag rights that nothing community built the community app

A community app would be a great idea!

I really hope it is coming soon.

Definitely like this idea! Specifically if push notifications would work and whatnot.

App would definitely make it easier to login and interact on the go.
