Hello, so I’ve been using Nothing Phone (2) since November, and obviously, I really love this phone! However, I’m still waiting for the day when the Nothing team will create its own gallery apps. I’m creating this discussion out of concern because the current Google apps (Google File) that’s being used aren’t really intuitive, and most of the time I find them difficult to look at. And then, to make it worse, I don’t know if this happens with other users, but there are some of my videos that I took that just got deleted and disappeared! I don’t know if this happens to all users, but please, Nothing team, create your own gallery apps soon! I just can’t take it anymore.

Haha I didn’t knew that Nothing phone has nothing as Galary application.

Google photos suck my camera photos and my downloaded photos are all together which makes it so hard to find what I want to find.

When will the Nothing Gallery come? Will she come or not?We can see it in the next update or not?

They must prioritize the gallery app for it has a very high percentage for user wanting to have gallery app. All phone has its own gallery app even the cheapest one. I dont understand why this nothing really nothing at all.

I know it is too soon to say this, but I really think Nothing OS 3.0 should have Nothing Gallery. It would have an incredible black-and-white interface. I came across a concept for Nothing Gallery, but I can not recall who made it. It Astounded Me!😁😁

htb86 You can easily turn off sync 🙂

I’d just save the time for another things to develop or improve, instead making another gallery app 🙂

kshitijlunia I too agree

To create simply gallery app , should be on top priority…

Also please do add other in app which includes notes.

I feel don’t focus too much development of glyph interface without giving basic items

Thank you

Matteo Riso Yep, Google Photos is annoying. Most every basic app from Google cannot provide basic features, but are you sure that Aves Gallery is secure? like from privacy, malware and all

At first I thought it was okay, but now that I literally just can’t find albums or categories of pics that are there in my phone but still for some reason Google photos just doesn’t wanna show them is making me loose my mind. The amount of struggle it was to find a pic I saved from snapchat cuz there for some reason is no category for snapchat pics and I could swear there was one yesterday(which still didn’t have the pic I was looking for) but today the entire snapchat category is gone from Google photo’s albums section. It only shows like 6 categories and that’s it. Please make a nothing gallery app or do something.

It’s high time now, Nothing should release a gallery app. All photos automatically get back up and now I am run out of storage which has affected Gmail and drive.

Every month I have to transfer my photos of laptop or delete it temporarily due to automatically backing up the camera pics and videos

I can’t keep turn off my photos backup for always

      UmangKhaitan hey 👋

These photos still store in local storage and can be accessed outside of Google Photos in third party gallery apps or even the files app. Google Photos is just the default viewer and handler.

As you mentioned you can also just turn off backup and still use Google Photos as normal, the difference is it just won’t take up your allocated Google Storage.

If you don’t want to turn off backup and you also use other services such as gmail and drive anyway then you should consider a higher tier storage option.

I do agree though, it would be great to see a Nothing gallery app, what features it would have, and how it would look.

One of the drawbacks of Android overall is how Google has dominated some core applications. When it comes to a unique concept like Nothing, fans want to see at least their base functions covered by something minimal and simple to use. Google photos for me as well is a pain, but I use it only for uploading in the drive. Other than that the iOS Photos app is kinda decent. When it comes to Android, a Nothing Gallery app seems only fair to their fans. I am sure something is in the works and hopefully, we will see the bright side of it. Nonetheless, my Team has already planned a Gallery App for Nothing OS so it’s only a matter of time.
