After the update of os 1.5.6 battery is getting drained too fastly in phone 1,is there a way to rectify this issue or is it resolved in the os 2.0 update

Since android 14 update the battery is draining a little too fast. I am hardly getting 6 hours of screen time. Even while web browsing the battery drains fast . Tell me what to do?

Hey Carl,

I have been using Nothing phone 1 from past 1 year, Looks wise phone is really good, built quality is fine, but there are some issues with the phone I noticed: The battery is draining too fast, Fast charger is not charging the phone how it used to perform the fast charging earlier, frequently wifi disconnection, noticed phone hangs atleast 1-2 time in 15-20 days, also noticed the phone got automatically restarted with out performing the re-start function.

Kindly look into this and rectify the issue ASAP.

Don’t know why this is happening to me my nothing phone 1 battery dies in overnight and in the morning when I see my phone its got switched off, why battery is draining this much in overnight without using the phone for the single time, even bedtime mode is on

Chaitanya_xdnnKbid7b First - Restart your device. If that doesn’t work try disabling sleep battery optimisation, battery health and adaptive battery. Then fully charge your phone and use it until it shuts down. Drain the battery completely. (You might notice that it stays on 1% forever) Do this a few times and it should calibrate properly.

Anonymous7 I believe you are on to something… My guess is most people don’t let their phone get that low and it’s still chugging along really good 18% as I’m writing this I’m going to let it get down as far as I can just let it die and do what you just mentioned

PiyushKanthak same here, you’ll need to turn off 120hz refreshrate. Set at normal 60hz

Pretty good, i have 22% battery left and get 5h 11min screen time. For me battery is great !!!

Really worried about the battery drain on P1 now-a-days, can’t trust that it will last a day and travel without charger. Really hope this can be fixed via OTA update,

We are facing a massive battery drain in those days really we are not satisfied with this experience we don’t even get a 3 sot and the phone is just one year old it’s disappointing we need a fix for this shit issue asap

Some methods I personally use to extend the battery life of my phone (1) which is almost 2 years old now and still gets me 6-7 hours SOT. Do note that I’m not a heavy user.

Change refresh rate to 60 hz
Disable auto brightness
Enable dark mode
Disable Wifi/bluetooth Scanning under location services
Disable RAM expansion feature
Enable smart 5G in network settings
Never let the battery drop below 30 percent and ideally below 50.
Always use the nothing charger and remove any case/cover while charging if possible.

7 would be better if the charging is stopped at 80% I guess?

8th point, Is it because removing the cover/case helps dissipate heat that is generated during charge?

Fractal You’re right it helps for heat dissipation. I do not use cases irrespective but this isn’t the case for majority of us so removing it while charging is an option as the phone tends to heat up while at it. About the 7th point, it would be great to charge until 80 only if it’s feasible for you

Battery draining even when phone is idle. I don’t know what causes. I check my battery usage and most percentage of usage done by system app runs in background. is it my phone or else some others have same issue?

Same, i literally have to recharge my phone 3 times today, just light surfing, Google chrome stuf
