Charging Wattage for Buds Pro 2 / Buds Pro

I recently got a Buds Pro 2 and I noticed that the packaging has a warning which crosses out a charger and right next to it there’s another charger icon that says 2.5 - 4.5 W.

Does this mean that I can’t use a 30W charger to charge the buds? It will be great if someone can confirm that using a 30W charger won’t damage the battery over time.

On another note, I have a Buds Pro since October last year and I was charging it with a 30W charger. Now sometimes I noticed that the left buds don’t charge fully even if they’ve been kept in the case overnight. The only charge until 90%. But maybe these are separate things, since they charge fully if I just press them slightly after placing them in the case groove.

Anyways, would someone know why the package says 2.5-4.5W and if 30W chargers can be used without any logn term damage. Thanks!

A 30w charger will never output 30w directly, it’s safe to use with the buds and won’t cause damage to buds battery, since they are charged by the case.

So that means a 30W charger will provide 2.5 - 4.5 depending on the device which is being charged? Or does the buds pro 2 case have some watt regulation that keeps it at an optimal wattage.

I’m curious to know if this is safe to charge over time and I’m asking because some of my friends had realme earbuds which got busted because of them using a regular phone charger.
