Hi everyone,

I’ve been experiencing an odd issue with my Nothing phone’s charging. It seems to be automatically connecting and disconnecting every few minutes, even when I’m using a brand new cable and adapter. This happens even when the phone is plugged in for only an hour.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

thesunjrs There is a chance it could be due to your adapter, make sure it’s adapted to your phone and try another adapter if you have one

Yes it’s happening on phone 2 again and again.. already changed cable twice and adaptor too

abhijots20 it’s happening with samsung chargers only. I’ve seen multiple cases. and they say the solution is using apple adapter and not even nothing’s original charger.

Make sure you are using a PD or PPS certified charger to charge the phone. If you use some proprietary charger then it can charge slowly or even disconnect after some time. Check the adapter whether it has the “Output: PD… or PPS…" written on it. If the charger and the cable is alright then it must be some hardware issue.

After a restart, its working fine. (in my case) I use samsung PD charger.

I use official cable + official 45w brick and this happens sometimes tho

Weird thing for me is the type C to Type C cable (using the original Nothing cable) works on the adapter in only one position too.. and I it goes on this infinite charging rapidly and disconnect loop. And at times it won’t even work at all. Any solution for this?

Thlamuana04 I’ve also been having this problem. The charger I’m using worked fine on my last phone (OnePlus 9). It’s quite annoying, and I’m really hoping for a solution
