thesunjrs Hi everyone, I’ve been experiencing an odd issue with my Nothing phone’s charging. It seems to be automatically connecting and disconnecting every few minutes, even when I’m using a brand new cable and adapter. This happens even when the phone is plugged in for only an hour. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
RapidZapper thesunjrs There is a chance it could be due to your adapter, make sure it’s adapted to your phone and try another adapter if you have one
Sourav_Satvaya thesunjrs I’m using a brand new cable and adapter. This happens even when the phone is plugged in for only an hour. Make sure you are using a PD or PPS certified charger to charge the phone. If you use some proprietary charger then it can charge slowly or even disconnect after some time. Check the adapter whether it has the “Output: PD… or PPS…" written on it. If the charger and the cable is alright then it must be some hardware issue.
abhijots20 Yes it’s happening on phone 2 again and again.. already changed cable twice and adaptor too
thesunjrs abhijots20 it’s happening with samsung chargers only. I’ve seen multiple cases. and they say the solution is using apple adapter and not even nothing’s original charger.
Thlamuana04 Weird thing for me is the type C to Type C cable (using the original Nothing cable) works on the adapter in only one position too.. and I it goes on this infinite charging rapidly and disconnect loop. And at times it won’t even work at all. Any solution for this?
Kadorath Thlamuana04 I’ve also been having this problem. The charger I’m using worked fine on my last phone (OnePlus 9). It’s quite annoying, and I’m really hoping for a solution
Jose Benjamin Thlamuana04 Same!! Has this issue resolved For you?? It really baffles me why it only works one side
M3Mz Hritik_hpOlQUrRrv there is no simple known solution, I’d try to check if the charging port is dirty, as minimal debris can affect charging.
KurroKapp M3Mz Any tips on how I can clean the charging port? I have the same issue, Tried different cables too. Probably some debris inside the port I cannot seem to clean. I’ve tried a thin brush.
Infinity KurroKapp In my case😂 i applied Fevicol (the white, hard type) nd placed it under the sun for about 2–3 hrs. I brought it back once it had hardened…😋 Then, I placed it into the port 💦, and all the dust stuck to the Fevicol🤤 . I was able to remove it in just a second. 🤧However I wouldnt recommend ths method 😮 unless u know exactly how hard or soft 😋 the Fevicol needs to be ,,,just enough to hold the dust but not too sticky. 💦💦💦
Jose Benjamin @“thesunjrs”#p8534 DUDE this is happening to me also since the past few days, it’s really irritating because i usually charge my phone before going to work while taking a shower coming back to it not charged. It’s almost that i have to watch it charge constantly. Tried multiple different chargers and cables too. Hopefully this is addressed.
Spark Wait, you guys have the same problem? I thought something was wrong with my charger, but it looks like that’s not the case. BTW, I’m using a Samsung 25W PPS/PD charger.
Jose Benjamin Spark Yeah bro and mine was working just fine for the last 2 months till recently. I’m using a Ugreen GAN Charger (mainly).
