I’ve been thinking about something that could make a huge impact for Nothing: a smaller, more compact phone that keeps the same transparent design, the iconic Glyph lights, and premium build quality.
Right now, the market is full of big phones, but there’s a real gap for people who want a smaller device with flagship-level specs. Imagine a phone that’s close to the size of older compact models, but still carries:
A powerful processor (like in the Phone 3a Pro)
A periscope / optical zoom camera
High-end display & performance
Of course, the Nothing unique design language
This could be a bold step for Nothing, giving people an option that no one else is really offering at the moment. A compact phone with Glyph + flagship specs would stand out strongly in today’s smartphone market.
Also, Carl Pei himself has mentioned several times that Nothing’s identity is about reducing distractions and making technology serve people in a simpler, more natural way.
A compact phone with powerful capabilities perfectly fits this vision — it’s less intrusive, easier to carry, and removes the “distraction” of oversized devices, while still empowering users with high-end features.
What do you think, community? Would you love to see a Compact Nothing Phone?
