Dear NOTHING

PLEASE for the LOVE OF TECH make a SMALL phone:

RECIPE

  • Doesn’t need to be flagship or wtv
  • Use the Screw design from CMF (for better reparability and community inovations)
  • Use Aluminium block around the edges and in the back
  • Size could be (iphone 13 size, or iphone 5) - everything must be almost reachable with your tumb for easy one hand operation
  • Small LED light (in front) for notifications or received calls
  • (optional) Try to REMOVE the punch hole as the front facing camera (like sony) It doens’t look great, it’s time to improve and move away from this
  • NO FANCY REAR CAMERA DESIGN cheneningans to make the product stand out or to follow a product line
  • MUST HAVE AN SD CARD SLOT

This is what you need to make a good small phone any suggestions are welcome.

Also I have seen some renders of a small phone with the lights and transparency on the back. I don’t think that is a good solution design wise. The phone should be practical, easy to replace parts and the actual design should be around those things.

I’m a user of Google Pixel, and I really want to switch to nothing phones. The only thing I don’t like is screen size hopping. Someday, nothing will launch 6.0 to 6.1 inch phones.

    Hello,

    Nothing Team,

My name is Pankaj Kumar, And i follow nothing for more than 1.5 year I know that you make great products, but i wanted to tell you that there is whole market in india for compact size smartphones

I think that you can make great compact size samrtphone,Please reply back i want to discuss about this if you don’t want to reply it okay

just make one compact size smartphone and launch it in india you will know

    I looking forwarded to it

    Thank you,

I also dream of a compact smartphone too! I used the iPhone 12 Mini and loved every second. One of my favourite phones of all time was the iPhone SE 1st gen, with the iPhone 5S style body, perfection.

What screen size would you say is perfect? And what specs would you like to see?

PankajKumar below 6″ I think it is too small for the average user with consuming social media and watching some videos. I would agree with Pankaj –> between 6.3 and 6.5 is the sweet spot for screen size in my opinion :- )

I’m full into this. I’m just waiting till the next launch of pixel. If there is no small form factor coming from nothing before that. I have decided totally to move to pixel. I’m tired of this big slab piece of phone.

Honestly, device I enjoyed holding the most is the original iPhone SE I had for a couple of months. I know, silly. But I miss the “everything-reachable-with-my-thumb” - and I have above average hand size. Had it been an Android phone with better battery life, I’d use it for longer.

The biggest daily driver for me so far was 5,9″. And since there are no more “small” phones that interest me, I just give up. For me, the difference between 6,3″ and 6,7″ is not big enough to grab the smaller one just because it is more compact.

Need a compact phone from nothing with phone 3 which comes with 6.2 or 6.4 inch display and light weight [below190gm] with metallic frame and if it comes with curved display it will great. The phone 2 is a bulky device with 6.7 and >200gm which is uncomfortable to use many of them. I can there many of buying apple basic phone [eg.iphone15] and samsung s23 which are light weight and comfortable to hold and gives better premium inhand feel.

ADIL_BdwKAQpvq5 There was already a discussion about a small phone from nothing at the moment it is not known if there will actually be one but the idea is appreciated.

I support pretty much everything you said here, apart from the phone not having flagship specs. I want something that will last me five years, so would require upper-mid tier performance at the very least. See: Zenfone 9 & Galaxy 23.

When we got to know about a Phone 2 (a) I was excited because I thought it was the perfect opportunity to make a compact small budget phone.

The only thing I kind of hate about this phone is it’s enormous 6.7″ screen.

If not a 5.8″ phone make a 6.1″ one so at least it can be a little more handy, personally speaking.

Plz when is Nothing gonna make a compact phone , 5.5 inch screen one good camera, smooth display, decent battery, way easy to carry etc etc.

        Plz plz Nothing do it
