Your opinion is definitely underrated, Yes Nothings needs a good typeface that syncs with such smooth OS like what OP Slate used to be a unique identity for OP till OOS 10.

I don’t want to piss of any Nothing fans here, But to all the till-carl-pei-existed-in-oneplus fans like me, When carl pei went out after OP 8T, The last identity he left for the previous gen 7 series or till OOS 10 is that unique Slate Font, Due to which Iphone users, Android Users and then especially OP users used to be distinguished while posting Instagram stories or Their Screenshots in social media and what exactly many are actually feeling that(atleast I hope they’re feeling inside) that there should be a unique typeface that engages across all social platforms/any application bcoz that’s where a user showsoff his/her daily driver he/she has. So Please bring back that dead Slate font back to Nothing OS or bring a unique font that defines the smoothness & light weightedness of Nothing OS , I hope this seriously reaches to Carl as this small change will actually make many users happy especially who like their product to be truly unique and defining/differentiating from others, Otherwise a roboto font could be any other android phone right?

Currently I am using CMF by Nothing Phone 1 and Nothing OS is literally AMAZING! But I seriously want developers to introduce a custom sans font for ui like it was available for OnePlus. I guess that will make nothing os more different from others. Also this UI is the best UI I’ve ever used. So I request champ developers to look into it and bring a new custom font for nothing in the upcoming OS updates.

What are your thoughts? Mates?

Daniel YESS, an option that allows us to use different system wide fonts would be amazing. We would also love to have a Nothing OS custom font or any font that’s not Roboto coded 😭🙏🏻

    YES! This is the most important feature that I’ve been waiting for since I first got a nothing phone 1 for myself. Waiting to be able to change fonts for so long! Please add this in, devs, please do your magic and allow custom fonts, but leave in the dot matrix don’t areas unchanged, only the areas that roboto is used.

        [deleted] How is enabling an option ‘bloatware’? It doesn’t require new applications or programs and certainly doesn’t require adverts or spyware, so how would it add bloat? It is a simple option to add that requires a simple change to the Nothing launcher. There maybe other reasons they have not done this, but adding bloat isn’t one of them. We are talking literal kilobytes…

        I think you are just using words without knowing what they mean. More customisation options are a good thing, especially because you don’t have to use it, and adds literally nothing in terms of software bloat.

        I do agree that adding ‘bloatware’ would be a bad thing, but as this change wouldn’t require that?

        +1 to adding a changeable system wide font. Maybe don’t include fonts by default, leave that up to the user.

          We love using the Phone 2A and appreciate all the features it offers! However, we feel that adding font customization options would greatly enhance our user experience.

          Being able to personalize our devices with different fonts would not only allow for greater expression but also improve accessibility for those who prefer specific text styles.
