From what I’ve seen, which is very little, I welcome the enhancements of 3.0. Change is a good thing because I know that Nothing will still be Nothing and the experience we’ve all grown to love will only get better with each update.

The dotted font is synonymous with Nothing’s identity, the logo du-uh. It’s honestly what a lot of us Nothing fanboys love and choose Nothing for.

And as of late, we have seen Nothing stray away from its identity. Especially the usage of dotted fonts. New widgets have visibly shifted away from Nothing’s iconic dotted font, which was so loved by the fanbase. And it was quite shocking to see how Nothing had moved away from the dotted format for the Closed loop NothingOS3.0 beta release. As shocking as it was, it was not something I, and so many others I have interacted with, welcome. I believe I speak for the community, the customers and the fanbase when I say that we welcome change. But taking a significant shift away from what was and is the company’s core identity is not something we look forward at all. Having said that we ain’t saying that we don’t want changes, but merely that don’t stray too far away from what made Nothing unique in the first place.

By all means, add the new font. But don’t force it upon the users. Give us the option to pick which suits us better.

AmanTamang I second this. The dotted font is a core part of nothing’s identity and it’s what makes nothing stand out and unique.

Not an encouraging vision for the future of the company if the company is shifting its identity every 12-24 months.

Merged 1 post from Dotted Font taking a backseat - Identity crisis ?.

I think the new font is much better than Dot font. From beginning they aren’t able to make the Dot font available in more languages like Czech, Polish, etc. because of special characters.

Second thing is readability which is much more better with font included in leaked Nothing OS 3.0

Dot font is nice but not usable everywhere in system.

      I agree.

I’m Japanese, but I like the Ndot font, so I use Nothing Phone in English.

By the way, it seems that a Japanese version of the Ndot font will be released in the next version, but I will continue to use English because the Japanese design is poor.

The Dot Matrix and Dotted theme was one of the main attractions of Nothing, and was one of the reasons I bought my Nothing 2a. Hence, it is my request, on the behalf of the rest of the community members who feel the same way as me, to bring back the old theme and font, atleast as an option instead of the new font and theme being the default and only one.

Merged 1 post from Petition to bring back Dot Matrix Theme and Dotted Font for Nothing 3.0.

BassimBinYoosaf or Nothing can do it like in Xyper OS that in the theme store you can download every phont you like and use it,

Nothing also can do it directly from the setting is no need in theme store.

If I’m looking at the right thing online, I prefer the new design. The early Ndot design is distinctive, so having options would be a good thing.

From deep heart please don’t remove dotted fonts as it is your brand identity without dotted fonts they will be much similar to other local brands with bad os experience 😔

Hey don’t remove dotted fonts completely please give us a option to choose from dotted and new fonts I agree that the fonts that is coming with os3.0 is more reliable but many fans like me like the cool and unique look of nothing phones the dotted fonts are most iconic and unique please don’t remov it

Not a huge fan of the font because of its readability but I’d still like to see it in the UI just more unified way. Currently it feels like it’s just slapped in between existing Android UI which seems forced.

My suggestion would be to make it more intentional and also add the ability to replace it with other fonts please like Android sans.

The dot matrix made a huge difference for the user experience and im really sad that they might’ve removed it in NOS 13, tbh dot matrix looks much more minimal and cleaner than the regular fonts which have been added in the beta versions. Kindly please don’t remove it, or atleast give users the option to switch between the UI somehow
