      I’d like to ask if users that got the v2.6 update (including July security patch) before, will get this new update too. There are features being shown like limiting the charging percentage, which my Nothing Phone 2a running on v2.6 doesn’t have. Thanks in advance.

      Nothing001 I guess most gallery apps don’t have those features, specially at the level Google Photos has evolved. If you want text recognised in photos you can use Google Lens which actually does a good job at it.

          Media player is not showing album art while playing music on yt music…solve this quick

          I recently bought nothing phone 2a,This phone does allow switch off the phone without lock and it should have very to power off feature other phones already have this thing this should be fixed imagine if my phone got stolen then it’s very easy for the theft to switch off and turn off location. I hope nothing will fix it and 2.6 update is bit lagging sometimes.

            I still have issues with the media player widget as it says “Please open any music app” . It used to work when i bought the phone but all of a sudden it just stopped working

            mafcarvalho That’s why people are requesting a gallery app with those inbuilt features who needs Google gallery plus Google lens to do that kinda of task?

                I’ve recently updated my Nothing Phone, and I’ve started noticing some issues with media playback. Specifically, when trying to open apps like Prime, YouTube, or Hotstar, the video occasionally hangs, and I have to restart the phone to resolve it. I’m unsure if this is an isolated issue with my device or if others are experiencing the same problem. If this is a widespread issue, I hope it can be addressed in an upcoming update.

                  DivyanshVirhe it won’t solve your problem though. Any Android phone when you press the power button for about 10 seconds will reboot without any password/PIN/lock code.

                    Today I updated my NP2 2.6 OS. so so far it’s okay for me, but the lockscreen layout had changed. When I lock my clock and other widgets comes below the middle of the screen and when I touch it moves upwards. Is this happening for everyone? I’m confused. Nowadays I’m scared to update new OS. Last time the grid layout everything changed and this time too. It’s so frustrating

                    Nothing001 Now I get your point but I’m used to Google Photos, both as gallery and editor. You mentioned some cons that aren’t accurate:

                    Lack adding text function in video editing

                    You can add text to videos captured on your Nothing Phone in Google Photos. I’ve done this a few times. It’s not a crazy editor like some social media apps have, but it serves my needs.

                    Don’t automatically back up device screenshots

                    I have no issues with this. Go to Google Photos settings (tap profile pic in upper right), tap Photos Settings, tap Backup and then tap Back up device folders. Here you can switch on the Screenshots folder. All screenshots you take will be automatically backed up.

                    It’s true that storage is limited to what you have assigned on your Google account. I have a 100MB subscription which is enough for me.
