Volume adjustment in quick settings

I have no complaints about the Nothing OS. I wish Nothing would add vertical volume and brightness sliders to the quick settings panel. So I don’t have to press the volume button~

Pikachu I don’t understand why people are so obsessed with iOS stuff. People usually get their 1st Android phone or usually use a Chinese phone with iOS clone UI and expect every OEM to copy those exact same crap. Leave the NothingOS alone, it’s already a good, clean, minimal UI.

I don’t understand why people love having to swipe down twice and move their finger from the far left to the far right to adjust brightness. Nothing Phones are large, and I just want to adjust the volume and brightness without having to readjust my grip while holding the phone.

To be clear, not asking Nothing to copy iOS, at least give us options to choose between 1 ×2 or 2 ×1 in quick setting.

Pikachu Do you think it’s a good implementation? Android control panel is different than iOS and when someone blindly copy it just for the aesthetic, this happens, like OxygenOS/ColorOS, no practical use of it, you need to stretch your fingers to reach the volume control, so, what’s the benifit of having it? You can’t change the position of the quick settings tile, they are always on the top of the screen.

Nothing OS 3.0 let you rearrange in quick setting. That’s all I want Nothing to add, no matter it’s vertically or horizontally.

Like I said. Let us to choose 1×2 and 2×1. Like other quick setting in os 3.0.

[deleted] Yes, and it’s useful, doesn’t feel or look odd. But when Android OEMs copy, they just copy the look, they totally forget about the practicality. One more example when Android copy iOS just for the shake of aesthetics:

More or less everyone knows about Dynamic Island and Apple smartly utilised the notch and made it useful. But when OnePlus copied it, they just copied the look, forgot that they don’t have a big notch to hide and totally ruined the status bar by adding a huge pill shape icon. Check the screenshot. When the hotspot is on, you can’t see any app notification icon as the hotspot icon took all the space. So, again, is it really necessary to copy iOS when Android can be better on their own?

Pikachu Arranging quick settings tile is not new. You can do that on every version. You just can’t change the position of the quick settings panel. Open the quick settings panel and see that there’s a blank space at the bottom of your screen, that’s not the case with iOS, you can utilise the whole screen and put any quick tile wherever you want, but not on Android, quick settings tiles are on the top, bottom part is reserved for the notifications.

It’s totally pointless to have the volume slider. if nothing does it iOS style, people are gonna judge. this isnt a decision you can take over coffee like lets add slider in QS. and as per your convenience , you dont need to slide from top to pull down QS. you can do it from bottom too. and brightness slider is gonna get placed in bottom with nothing OS 3.0.
