Apple just introduced the hearing aid for Airpods pro 2 models with future updates. Can Nothing do something similar for its line of ear buds? I think it is possible. Would be a great service to humanity especially since I also suffer from hearing loss. I have tried hearing aids but they are too cumbersome and clumsy. I guess TWS has greater potential as hearing aids than conventional hearing aids.

Love someone brought this up. That was a real stand out for me from the Apple event, everything else was so-so / expected but, that particular feature was a real ‘wow’ moment (a) because I think it’ll solve some stigma around how hearing aids look/how it looks to wear them (b) my father has recently been struggling with his hearing and they’d genuinely help him.

I hope the technology becomes accessible + scales to a point where it’d be easy for Nothing to implement in a future release of the ear line. I agree, there’s great potential here and, the health tech space continues to be something to watch.

The hearing aid feature was the real standout for me too!

I’ve not seen the announcement so am presuming what it’s all about, but I’ve previously wondered why manufacturers didn’t make over-the-ear earbuds with hearing aid options, that can switch to playing audio off a smartphone.

Phones have assistive features the user can enable, so why not earbuds?
