'Device Controls' grayed out for lockscreen shortcuts

I decided to set my left lock screen shorcut to device controls, but it’s gray and won’t let me select it. I have the google home app with linked devices.

Hey mate, I’m testing this and it works for me.

So…

(1) You have Google home setup

(2) Do you have the home icon on your lock screen in the bottom left corner and does this work?

(3) Have you tried removing it from the lockscreen and adding it again, rebooting your device or, logging in/out of Google home?

Failing all of that you might want to give feedback in the hope that support can help.

Device Control and Google Pay these are the two options that are not available on every region. There are two types of services available which are region specific. Take Google Pay for example, the one you see on the lockscreen that is card based Google Pay which is available in the USA and some other region, but if you are in India then that Google Pay is different, it’s UPI base bank to bank transfer. You can’t use that on the lockscreen that’s why it’s not available. I’m not sure about the Device Control thing but I’m assuming that it’s the same as Google Pay. I have checked my other device which is OnePlus and these are also not available.
