Hi,
the colour saturation and colour temperature of the display on my Phone 2a Plus is faulty and buggy.
The colours are not brilliant, look washed out and are pale. The colour settings have almost no function. Switching between Standard and Alive does not change anything visible. The correct white balance cannot be achieved by changing the colour temperature.
I have already tried a few things, such as setting the contrast to high in the developer settings and have checked all the settings that affect the display.
Do you also have this problem and maybe have a solution or do you have any ideas what I could test or change?
You can test for yourself that this is a bug:
- take a photo with your mobile phone
- open this photo in Google Photo
- as soon as you open the photo, the display becomes brilliant and the colours are displayed correctly. If you close the photo (but leave Google Photos open) you can see how the colours in the app fade again
If you open a photo that was taken with another mobile phone, this effect does not occur. This is probably due to a faulty implementation of HDR.
The same problem also exists with some Samsung and Pixel devices. The problem has been fixed there with a software update.
I hope that Nothing takes care of the problem and fixes it.
