So while I’m satisfied with the material theme, and the way it changes colors of UI to match the color scheme, I would really like an option for an AMOLED Black throughout the UI - the quick tiles, the app drawer، basically everywhere.

Edit: AN AMOLED Black with red outlines similar to how I think OnePlus 7 had with the pre-merger Oxygen OS, but obviously with the unique nothing touch.

I’m not sure this would require a major update to implement. I wrote this to see how many people share the same thought and maybe, catch the attention of the developers.

I’d love to see an absolute dark mode, which utilizes the Amoled displays in Nothing Phones. I personally don’t like the dark mode now, as the black has a shade to it according to the wallpaper. Waiting to see this as an option in Nothing OS 3.0 build.

Please merge it, if already asked

Hey mate, this is a common request but not currently available in Nothing OS. Hopefully it’ll be in a future update. Why don’t you submit it as feedback? Settings > System > Feedback.

This is coming in android 15 AKA Nothing OS 3.0 This month you will have it.

Dear Developers please make the dark mode to be in pure Black color.. that greyish looking of dark mode is really annoying and making very strain to our eyes… why are tou not giving pure black mode like oxygen os ??? Carl Pei beo because of you we came to rhis nothing family but you are really hurting with rhis kind of issues by the way i recently purchased and using Nothing 2a Plus mobile

Iam getting doubt that are these really AMOLED Displays or LCD displays????

chan that’s what I also pointed. Company says it’s an amoled display but looks like LCD display. No colour enhancement for video play. Camera photo stills are whitewashed can’t recognise human objects properly.

Is there any authorised statement on this issue? We use Amoled screen but it is very sad that the dark mode is so dysfunctional 🙁
