Nothing Phone (2) camera feedback
Is there any update for phone2 camera ?
Camera picture processing is very disappointing and recently my phone2 camera was stop working while taking photos , screen gone black for few minutes and become normal after i restart the Phone
Did anyone have quality issue in camera for phone2
I think the biggest problem with the camera is the watercolor effect it creates when processing it. Almost any photo you have, if you zoom in, you will see a brutal loss of detail. “Washes” the image to soften it and eliminate possible noise. As a counterpart, it has that, that everything is displayed without detail and even deforms faces that are somewhat far away. It is awful. In that, any €200-€300 Xiaomi surpasses it.
In favor, since the last updates, the color palette seems more real and accurate to me.

Hi, I have the NP2 with OS 2.5.5, today on daily light I have been taking 4 pictures two with ghosting eyes on faces… wery sad… I cannot trust that. Kids are moving fast and some shots could be amazing, but they are not. Strange is the fact that when I was trying to edit it and highlight in submenu (Watermark / Znacka) there is not ghosting…. but elswhere it is.
I plan to return the NP2 to the store if this is not fixed soon, I need it for kids pictures, where some moments will never be repeating again. I hope someone will understand that. And also its not so sharp. Eyes focus on xperia was working great for an inspiration - in my previous phone xperia 1 Mark 3. Any chances this will get fixed soon?
I’m using my phone(2) since Dec’23, ever since my front camera is so bad that I didn’t even have any selfies of mine in the gallery , my realme 3 pro had better selfie cam than phone(2) which worth not even half the price of phone(2). It embarrassing me so bad that I won’t even open front cam, I felt like slapping myself because I choose NP2 over OP11r

MohanChandrakumar i agree I mean its 32 megapixel front camera doesnt have any details, it doesnt feel like its 32 megapixel
To me the camera is ok, i have a NP2 and a 14 pro Max. Camera seems to be similar. The 14 pro Max seems a bit more lively

I took photos today using night mode with both 12 MP and 50 MP. But I didn’t see much details in 50MP mode. To be honest 12MP mode had more details. I am upset with the camera performance. Providing update bimonthly is fine, but they are not sorting out the major issues and we don’t have any acknowledgement of the issues.
@Carl @Remi F @Rob Giving priority to the newly launched phone is good, but the already launched so called flagship phone is struggling. Yes as a new company you have to go for more profit, so you have also started launching new phones instead of making the existing phones better, like the other phone manufacturers. This is not what we expected from nothing. Nothing moto is to make the tech fun again, but now are you making fun of users, there is no proper response or acknowledgement for any of the issues, either in community or X. Fed up, unable to use camera, and sometimes phone lags.
There is no difference between your flagship and other phones. Same update cycle, same update policy, but different hardware. What does nothing do specially in software for the flagship phones.

Even before buying nothing phone 2 I used to take pictures and selfies of every great moments, now with phone 2, due to it’s non consistent camera optimisation, I feel shy to click photos with my groups and colleagues.

See, the community is for providing feedback. If we simply provide feedback, no one is acknowledging it. So we go for tagging moderators. If we tag them to raise concern, they are giving a warning. Then how should we get our issue resolved. Its going to be 1 year and still camera performance is not stabilized.
If it is not possible to stabilize will the nothing team exchange our phone for free with next generation of nothing phone, so that we get a stabilized camera performance for the money we paid (40k)

Feedback can be submitted via Nothing Phone’s, this is the best way to send feedback to the teams. It is Settings > System > Feedback.

Indeed there are many minor bugs is not resolved yet , even after Giving feedback / Suggestions via setting. Few Encounter in daily life usage, like today I was working while putting my headphones on , and the call came its started ringing suddenly I took off the headset cz volume was hig, Instead I make sure that Caller ID Announcement is Set on a only when using headset even though sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, I already informed many minor bugs via setting suggestions & feedback by following each step carefully by updating logs,photos & videos.. All I received was a system generated mail, only once I was assisted properly by nothing service executives entirely after giving 10+ reported minor bugs, MAYBE THERE IS STILL SMALL TEAM TO TACKLE EVERYONE,s feedback or I do feel like Users experienced feedback are being ignored for whatever reasons especially Phone 2 Users, that’s why I stopped posting on community. Team please enhance your capabilities especially on customer support areas cz that also plays a major role like building user trust and maintaining transparency. I hope you all are doing well and good
