I recently purchased the Nothing Phone 2 and would like to provide feedback regarding its camera performance. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the camera’s quality. Despite advancements in smartphone technology, the images captured lack sharpness and detail. In well-lit conditions, the photos appear grainy and fail to capture accurate colors. Moreover, in low-light environments, the camera struggles to produce usable images, often resulting in significant noise and blurriness.

As a consumer looking for a reliable smartphone camera, I expected better performance from the Nothing Phone 2. I hope that future software updates or improvements in hardware can address these issues to enhance the overall user experience.

I also have nothing phone 2a it has 50 mp camera 📸 but the resolution of photo is not clear as iPhone have 48 mp camera 📸 still they give best quality photo and video.

Keep this thread going, until it’s noticed. I think they have settled for what it is with the camera. It needs attention, heck when was the last time we saw an improvement in image quality? It hasn’t been updated this year at all. However, much complacency and what not doesn’t bring about a change soon rather the best option would be to choose what’s already established like apple or samsung, yep they have higher number of resources sure, but hey it’s just competition, be on their level or else do not even pretend to be

The NP2 has improved the camera performance,but still need a lot of improvement. After the update of 2.5.5 with new ultra HDR it captures good picture but they are saturated make green more green . Colour detection in artificial lighting need improvement. Portrait modes need improvement it lack deatails in both 1 and 2x . And plz improve the camera preview. One more thing it need to improve is skin tone detection. Plz give the update of 25 mm and 35 mm portrait mode in NP2

The camera is now 10/7.5 . I belive in your work of improvement and I like the approach of nothing update policy

Slow shutter speed is most annoying. My old Pixel 4 phone Has better performing camera overall.

The camera is a complex system engineering, and it should give a small team like Nothing some time. Instead of complaining, it’s better to focus on the excellent aspects of Nothing’s phone

    This camera will never receive an update to address our issues. But the next flag ship phone from nothing will probably get a better camera. Either way I won’t buy another nothing phone. Good luck.

    It’s 2x photo lack in HDR processing and plz fix colour boosting of its . It just saturate the imag portrait shorts need lot of improvement it like details also misses the skin tone make the skin tone detection like the font camera of the NP2

    I just received my Samsung Galaxy M35 5G today. So while setting up the device I noticed that the brightness optimization of M35 is far better than NP 2.

    M35 is available for 20k & NP 2 was at 55k & still at 40k which is double the price of M35.

    And still Brightness & Camera both of M35 are crushing NP2. I’m not saying that M35 has higher Nits. NP 2 definitely has higher brightness but it matters when we use it with full brightness.

    And what I’m trying to convey is that for using NP2 in indoor itself, I have to keep brightness at 35-40% level at least for clear visibility but in M35 I can operate at 10-15% brightness level easily.

    I don’t use phone at 100% brightness & so if brightness is optimised correctly it will be good to use at lower levels.

    And same with cameras. The processing results of M35 are shockingly marvelous compare to NP 2.

    So both these needs serious optimization if company still wants these series to be treated as premium device. Otherwise it’s of no worth to spend these much amount behind this.

    And one more thing M35 has 4 OS & 5 security Upgrades whereas even at more than Double Price Nothing Phone 2 has 3 Os upgrades.
