The question is, what is the difference of hdr with red dot above from the normal HDR?

Derick If red dot then HDR will remain on and when the white HDR symbol, it will decide whether HDR is to be activated while clicking a certain photo or not.
How to get camera widget in phone 2? Currently on the latest firmware 2.5.5
… the Phone 2 was so disappointing it hurts. My old pixel 4 is so much better, these might be 50mp but even my HTC HERO in the old days took better photos of the night sky than this.
Recently Nothing Phone Camera improved lot I am using nothing phone 2 Now.
Can You add the Portrait mode for video and also add More Stabilization for Video
I recently used Gcam (Google camera) Apk for nothing , downloaded from internet
So when I tested it out , it record more stable video
Also take great picture sometime as compare to Nothing stock camera

After a long wait, we received a major update on Nothing phone 2 , but still bringing all the ultra HDR things , I personally feel camera need more way to improve, especially in low light like in night and heavy sunny light , the perfection is still a question. I would like to address the issue to Nothing team, please resolve the camera issue . Thank you
Even I feel the same, I didn’t see a major improvement in the camera area even after the update. Still it is kind of hit or miss. Expecting better improvements in camera for 45k phone
Just a few days back my phone 2 clicked some of the worst images, there was only one subject in frame in low light. When clicked face was all whitish and wierd with no to less details. This phone struggles in low light and needs too much improvement, also in daylight. Sometimes it sure clicks some good images but it needs ample lights in frame. It’s like a hit or miss. Consistency is lacking. Hope nothing improves the device further…

We will be getting more Nothing apps as bloatware (like gallery, dialer, notes) but camera in phone 2 will still lacks optimization

I am feeling the same way as you all. Taking photos in which light in background it does worst processing, I hate these photos
CYPHER_LYNX Consider trying out GCAM with the available config for it. The stock cam definitely deserves more improvements. For more info you might wanna check out unofficial platforms existing for the device.
I have both Pixel 7 pro and nothing phone 2. In good lighting contidiotns i dont see any diferences in photos. Only one complain; NP2 have to warm white balance. But overall it is very solid camera for this price range.
