Can those be used as ear aids?

Hoping for next upgrade to feature open ear bud with both ANC and high transparency.

Quick question, why is it more expensive than the Ear

My point of view: -

The Nothing Ear (Open) earbuds offer several standout positive features. Their lightweight, comfortable fit, enhanced by silicone hooks, allows for all-day wear without causing discomfort, even during activities like running. The open-ear design ensures excellent situational awareness, making them ideal for outdoor use, as you can stay alert to your surroundings while enjoying music. Additionally, the earbuds feature Clear Voice technology that ensures clarity during voice calls, even in noisy environments. With 8 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 30 hours total with the case, the battery life is quite impressive, and a quick 10-minute charge provides 2 hours of extra playback. The sleek, transparent design adds a stylish touch, keeping with Nothing’s distinct aesthetic. While the Bass Enhance algorithm improves low-end sound, the mid-range clarity is particularly notable, making these earbuds a great choice for casual listening in quieter environments.

Bro I think you didn’t read the Guidelines for being a member of the community.

And I am also a student of 12th class.

    Just for the proof

    Addressing nothing os 3.0

This doesn’t feel like a step forward towards the the nothing design style. It feels like a huge step backwards. A step away from the by now iconic dotted font style.

Of course you can better read normal fonts. Of course you can easier animate weather icons if you vary the dot sizes.

But just because it’s easy to consume doesn’t make it prettier. It just makes it more generic.

Take a look at the evolution of android and ios. What we see today on most phones is the definition of a consumer friendly ui. Symbols are easy to see even if you squeeze your eyes together. Colors are popping and demanding your attention.

But I didn’t bought a nothing phone because I want the smoothest and easiest to use os. I bought it because I wanted the best looking os. Because it has this unique style that somehow reminds me like something out of the Bauhaus era. It was different and courageous because it didn’t seem to care what the industry are doing and what the mainstream consumer demands.

Animating the size of the dots might open new possibilities but it takes away the minimalistic analog style of the current icons.

I know all this sounds over dramatic. It’s just style. But nothing hole appearance is based on style.

I just want to encourage the devs to stay brave and further ignore the generic industry standards.

The nothings company has grown rapidly. But with such an iconic and unique style you just can get so far. Let’s be honest. The majority of smartphone users prefer the android and ios look. Given that the phone in the video uses the default android icons instead of the nothing version shows clearly whom this advertising teaser is targeting.

Trying to win over people who are not interested in the nothing design by giving up the nothing identy is a bad bet. I don’t think that nothing can compete with companys like Apple or Samsung. And they will loose us who where glad that they didn’t try.

Taste is a controversial topic. Nothing managed to satisfy a niche audience. And thats good. Even if that means that nothing phones will stay a niche product. I mean this niche is so big that the nothing phone had been a huge success. Seems like I m not the only one who fall in with the dotted style (seriously I can’t get enough of the n-dot font. I want more not less)

At least give us a chance to decide how much nothing (n-dot) our nothing phone should be by adding the option in the the settings menu.

Got my opens today. Kept it in my ears for 5 hours. Hurts my ears just a little but I just need to get used to it a little. I’ve been messing around with the EQ for 3 hours. I haven’t figured out my preference sound yet but it has potential. I just wish the over ear wire was just a tad bit moldable I know it was designed to fit a large number of people but I think my ears are shaped weird. Which is why I usually don’t care too much for IEM’s and always go over-ear. But these are pretty good so far. Looking forward to messing around with it more.

As a dedicated Nothing Phone (1) user and someone who has been using a range of Nothing products, including the Watch 2 Pro and Neckband Pro, I was genuinely excited to see the launch of the Nothing Ear (Open).

The first thing that immediately stands out to me, like all other Nothing products, is the signature minimalistic, futuristic design – sleek, eye-catching, and unique. The way Nothing continues to emphasize both style and functionality in its products is impressive.

While I am loving the concept of Open Sound Technology, I also wanted to suggest an idea for future development. It would be amazing to see bone-conductive headphones as a potential future product. Given Nothing’s track record for innovation and premium quality, I believe this could be a game-changer in the audio space.

    Haha thanks Rob ⚡️!

catchaj19 I’ve always been a fan of the Ear (stick) as those were the buds that fit in my ears best compared to the other Ear products with silicone tips, which I found often fell out of my smaller ears, especially during exercise.

With Ear (open), because the buds sit on top of your ears rather than inside your ears, they work well no matter what your ear size is. The buds may not fit in my ears quite as snug as someone with bigger ears, as I’ve seen on social media and the promotional material, but because of the silicone band wrapping around the top of your ear, they stay firmly in place regardless; even when lying horizontally (or even at a decline) on a bench or mat in the gym. I’ve not had a single occurrence of these falling off my ears yet, compared to Ear which I was pushing back in my ears every 1-2 minutes during any kind of weightlifting. Let me know if you have any specific questions!

catchaj19 I don’t know how small when you are saying “small ears” but I did put it on my nephew who’s 6 years old and on his (small ears) it falls off but that’s after him running around. I think your small ears will be fine. I actually think those with very large ears will not like it as much since the ear hook is pre-molded and though has a decent flex to it, could put extra pressure in certain areas. I personally don’t have large ears but mine do stick out more than the average person so I’ve found myself periodically re-adjusting the position of the driver on my ear to get the optimal sound - hence my previous comment about wishing it had a slightly moldable hook.

Natalie ✨ please fix the sound quality of wired earphones because it sounds static and it’s not great, even my 10 year old laptop provide great sound when earphones are plugged in 🥲
