Earlier before Android 14 I used to get more than 8 hours SOT , now I get around 4- 5 hours after update

The battery usage also tracks and shows unreal things , Like in the below , it shows i have not used anything in 4 hours , but i have really used it. Battery life also seems to be bad after the update

After upgrading to latest patch, battery started draining. Drained from 74 to 30 in half an hour. I’m using nothing phone 2.

The same applies to me as well. After the update to 2.5.1.A, the battery drain has gotten worse.

I hope they have this on their table and working on fixing it.

Furthermore, the battery temperature rises up to 40° C during charging and also during gaming

After the 2.5.1 update the battery draining issue is so bad I’m barely getting 5hrs SOT before with the same usage I used to get 8+hrs SOT and I thought they will fix this with the 2.5.1a update but still no fix and the i think the main issue is the refresh rate it’s always staying in 120hz I got the phone 2 for the os experience and the praises I’ve heard about the updates in phone 1 but now I am disappointed.

    Thagur Regarding the refresh rate, this is relative to brightness. Try adjusting the brightness and you should notice that the refresh rate drops, especially when viewing static content. It’s worth checking to see if this improves your total screen on time.

        My nothing phone 2 is having severe battery drain and heating issues after the 2.5 update

        Is anyone else having this issue??

        Will this be addressed in the next update?

        When i go to battery details it shows that chrome is using a lot of battery even though i never use it and brave is my default web browser

        I have seen an unforeseen issue with Nothing Phone 2’s battery, that it is losing more than 4% to 6% of charging when I keep it idly at night almost for 7 to 9 hours. I keep all the things off. Also phone goes into power off mode but still it loses 4% charging seems bad. I have used other phones like OnePlus 11, Realme GT 2 & Mi 11 & moto edge 30 ultra, none of them loses more than 2%. So it’s the issue with Nothing only in my experience. Please check & fix with an update if possible. Overall battery backup is good, SOT is around 8+ hours in mixed usage. But idle drain is concerning issue.

          I have the same issue with the NP (1). Charged to 92% left it for 24hrs and the charge had dropped to 84% only with the sim card (data off) network on. Can this be addressed??
