Any reason couldn’t write a review here as well for the community in addition to linking out to your YouTube for the views?
Nothing Ear (open): First Impressions on this Open Earbuds Design
- (Edited)
Anonymous142 It wasn’t my intention to link for views. I just couldn’t upload the video directly into this forum, otherwise that’s what I would have done. My chosen review format is video.
jojothetechie Nice short and sweet first impressions vid! And hosting on YouTube is absolutely fine of course, with the embed it’s easy to watch over here too so there’s no difference for the viewer between hosting directly on community or via YouTube. In fact I actually did the same just because that was the easiest way to host a proper video!
Jojo, what did you think about wearing the Opens whilst also wearing glasses? I can’t watch your video yet so if you went over this in your video I apologize. My curiosity is killing me.
Chris Thank you Chris. Yes, I didn’t have that realization until later that I could have just embedded it, which I have now fixed.
megatomic people with glasses haven’t had any problem with them as far as I’ve seen. I’ve used them happily with sunglasses, and I believe Jojo and Lou were both pleasantly surprised at how compatible they are with glasses
Great video and awesome to see these work great with glasses too!!

@jojothetechie thanks for updating with the embed - will check out your review later.
@Chris yep Nothing - wrong with YouTube - but if people just link content rather than embedding or writing an article on the forum - it doesn’t really serve the community itself since there is then a lack of content on the forums. Great to see the embed though now - cheers.
Nice one! And yes, a +1 from me with Ear (open) being comfortable with glasses. The final product is SO comfortable compared to an early prototype I tried. Went for a run with them yesterday to celebrate launch and I really didn’t feel them.
Hi! That was actually my main thing and the deal breaker. These are very comfortable to wear with glasses. I do take my glasses off when I’m first putting on the buds, so that when I put my glasses back on the temples are literally sitting on top of the ear opens. There’s no pressure on the back of my ear, which causes me terrible headaches, so I’ve been wearing these all day long as I sit at my desk and work away. First couple of days I used them I even forgot I had them on!Best part for me is that they stay put since they’re secured by the ear loop. I own the CMF buds and the CMF neck band and both of these tend to slowly slide out of my ear.
jojothetechie Oh okay, you just alleviated a lot of concern I had about this form factor in general and the Opens in specific. Thanks.
