Can you put an on-off button?
Glyphify v2 available on Play Store
VishuJaiswal the Dev has another discussion where the app (apparently a first version of this app) is free and open source. And yes, softwares are like any other item on the market, can be paid. There’s people’s effort behind apps, do not claim it for free.

@Fr4nKB Hey, nice to meet you and seems like a good app. But unfortunately I won’t be able to pay to get the app at the moment. But will get it soon. Actually I am a developer too. And I also want to make an app that uses glyph development kit but not sure how to use it and which app will I make. Can you help me to move forward with this please? And it would be better if everyone gives suggestions. It would be really helpful and great if someone can help and contribute too in this

mha8 Hi, what dark mode are talking sbout? Glyphify has no control over the system UI theme.
For the charging meter wait for today’s update and tell me if that makes any difference. Be sure to turn it on in the settings, put your phone face down on a flat surface then wiggle it.
Vishwam hey, I’m glad other people want to use GDK. Unfortunately, I’m busy right now so I can’t really explain everything to you.
I think you should make a new thread about this so everyone can give suggestions or address doubts about GDK. GitHub is also a pretty good source, if you look into the issue section you will find useful information.
Fr4nKB Thank you for replying. But for me for making new thread they need to approve first. They aren’t approving. It just shows Awaiting Approval and I have requested API for GDK hopefully they send the API. It would be better if you would help in some or the other way because you have used GDK and this is my first attempt
Vishwam This thread is not the place for these types of inquiries, please create a thread in Nothing Community whenever possible.
About the API key, it takes time to get it but you need to send a demo of your app. If you don’t have an app developed yet to show them, they probably won’t accept your request. You can use GDK in debug mode for development and for the demo, no need for the API key in this phase.
Hey @Fr4nKB , the app is really cool rn! With almost everything one can imagine of having on the NP by default .
A feature request (if possible) that I made during V1 of the app too, is the ability to glyphify short tones for notifications. Right now, it kinda loops the animation for 3 times. Do have a look at it if possible
Vishwam I didn’t need to open it, it was fixed with the beta update
Y_ld_ray_on What?

Vishwam Please have a look at this site and don’t use this thread to ask questions about GDK, feel free to open a new one if you think it’s needed but website should cover most of your questions

Purchased yesterday for my Phone (2a) Plus CE just for the battery glyph alone.
Feedback (sorry if this has been requested for previously), in future versions it would be nice to see more options for the charging meter (if possible):
- Always show the charging status, rather than having to wiggle the device.
- Change which Glyph is used for the charging indicator i.e. from top left to the right straight bar.
- Wiggle to see battery when not plugged in.
Not really related to your app (seems like a Nothing OS bug), but I’ve noticed that if you have “Charging Assistance” turned on and you’re charging the bottom left glyph will flash. There’s no option to turn it off, which is kind of annoying. Maybe I will send some feedback to Nothing about this.
Thanks developer!
FJ
Purchased and testing right now, i will come back with a review. Greetings
freshj1ve
I’ll address each point:
- This can be done, however it would interrupt Extential, music visualization and so on. I could leave the choice to the user but the app will get full of toggles, I’m not sure how I feel about it.
- Your second point is impossible: there’s only one variable glyph on (2a)s
- Again, possible and it wouldn’t interrupt stuff since it would only last 5 seconds or so. This has been requested many times, I can look into it for the next update.
As for the charging assistance, it has definitely some bugs: my phone is constantly flashing until I remove the charging assisant notification, I guess some code is refreshing that notification continuosly…
Fr4nKB thank you for taking the time to respond to all my feedback, it’s appreciated.
- I understand, but more options to the end user the better imo. I don’t use extential, music visualisation etc. personally and how often would some use these while charing the phone anyway? Everyone’s use case may different from my own, but just “some food for thought”.
- Ahh, I see. I didn’t know that.. learnt something new!
- Good to know, thank you.
Ahh, I will look for the charging assistant notification next time and dismiss it. I have already raised this feedback to Nothing.
Thanks again, cheers FJ.
