  • Nothing OS 2.6 - Chrome Duet setting not available in Chrome Flags

I recently bought a CMF Phone 1 and trying to set it up for my mom. While I’m trying to do so, one thing I wanted to alter is the get the chrome toolbar (which usually sits on the top of the screen) to the bottom.

This is a widely known requirement and a solution is available among android community. One should alter Google Chrome platform’s flags in order to achieve this.

Navigate to ‘chrome://flags’ > Search ‘Chrome Duet’ > Enable. This should do the trick.

But for some reason, that flag is not found in the Google Chrome in CMF Phone 1. I’ve updated the chrome to recent version. I’ve validate the same with another Nothing Phone (1) user and they also have the same issue.

Any suggestion on this?

As far as I can tell with a few Google searches is that this flag/feature was removed. People on reddit were talking about it since 4 years. And I also can’t find it on my Nothing Phone (1).

any other alternative options to bring the address bar location from top to bottom of the screen?

ManojAkondi If that is your main concern you can try Firefox. It has that by default and you can even install some browser plugins like an adblock.

I’m not sure, but there is on option in main screen settings, layout and you can switch off “show searching bar”. Then you can go back to main screen and add Google searching bar widget on the top of the screen, or do the opposite if you want to have it on the bottom
