Idle Battery Drain - Phone (2)

The major issue of nothing phone 2 is ideal drain, because it’s terrible in my case 12% battery 🔋 drain in 8 hours (at night to till morning)

In day time it is normal only 4 to 5% battery drain (morning to till 11:00pm night)

My phone’s charging cycle count is 92 ,the ideal is not only the problem the battery is getting drained quickly even with less use.

Please nothing do something,only 5 months have happened and this type of terrible issues are happening…

vovan-v 😂 i don’t have SIM in my phone I use via wifi because I am 17 years old student,my father didn’t by me a SIM card ,he did this because I should not take this phone out of the house.

Now if I don’t have SIM inserted in my phone then what is the point of airplane mode

How many charging cycels do you have and when have you bought your device. People tend so forget, that it could be normal wear and tear (Phone 2 is almost 1½ years old).

Otherwise try to reset your Phone 2 to clean it up. I use my Phone 2 since it was launched and over night my battery drains with around 3 percent…

I think you just have too many apps running in the background, most messengers, facebook incl drain the battery a lot and without using them at the moment, at night time set your sleep time, from the clock app, this will limit a lot of things..

Nicky0078 I have 4 apps other then pre-installed apps that are 1.pw app 2.free fire max (i do play free fire) 3.BGMI or PUBG (i installed bgmi to see new 90fps gameplay performance) 4.instagram (I have restricted background activity)

From 3 days I am noticing something

Digital wellbeing was active in background for 2 hours (from 12 am to 2 am)
Nothing widgets was active in background for 1.5 hour (from 2:30 am to 4:30 am)
Google play store was running in background for 2 hours (from 4 am to 6 am)
Again nothing widgets was running in background for 2 hours (from 3 am to 5 am)
At last nothing launcher was running in background for 1.7 hour (from 4:30 to 6 am. :- some apps were running one up one ,i don’t have any sim installed in my phone no internet connectivity .I have restricted Google play store but still it is running in background,i think by all this activity the battery is draining 10 to 12%

Hi !

I’ll try to give some more ideas. This requires a lot of digging into settings and applications… If you’re into it, I can say from personal experience that it works.

First, in the internet preferences settings, do you have all three option turned off -
Second for each app you have to check the battery usage settings, you have to choose from the three options - limited optimized and unlimited, there is no recipe here, it depends… and be careful not to screw up any system application.

I have already restricted the apps (pre-installed apps)which were draining the battery at night time i.e ideal drain

The apps are

Google play store (draining 4% battery)
Google play service(draining 2% battery)
Digital wellbeing (draining 5% battery)

:- even after restricting this apps to don’t run in background but still this apps are active and draining the battery.what the hell is this

I agree that idle battery drain is a problem. I always thought that it was the never ending Samsung Health and Galaxy Wearable app running 24×7 in the background. Also, having Free Fire and PUBG installed has nothing to do with idle battery drain overnight.

mine also how can we manage
