Hi everyone, my name is Rahil. I am a UI/UX Designer. One thing that I love about the Nothing phones is their software experience which extends to how stylized and efficient their widgets are. Recently I stumbled upon @Rahul ’s brilliant Widget concepts. I thought that I should also give it a try to design my own concepts.
My main focus was on efficiency and functionality, I also wanted to design widgets that I would see myself (and others) using on a daily basis.

1 - Internal Phone Temperature Monitor Widget

Simple and straightforward, these are made to convey to the user if an activity or task in their phone is raising its temperature which in the long-term might affect its battery.

2 - Environment Noise Level Monitor Widget

A real-time sound meter, instantly letting you know if the environment is too noisy. Sounds above 70 dB can be harmful so make sure to leave such places or use Nothing Ear’s ANC. (That’s a nice product tie-in, I know)

3 - Single Simple Notes Widget

Not much to say here. This can be used in conjunction with the upcoming countdown widget for reminders, notes and to-dos.

4 - Contact Speed Dial

Have contacts that you call or message often ? Use this widget to get in touch with them instantly without jumping into the contact or messaging app. (The purpose widgets were designed for)

5 - Volume Control Widget

I feel like the way to know the volume levels currently require a couple of extra steps. (Press a physical button and then click a virtual button to expand and then see volume levels for everything. And even then you cannot accurately know what the volume is)
This widget aims to streamline this flow and gives precise controls to the users, allowing them to adjust volume for different things on the fly. And placing these widgets on your screen will instantly convey what the different volume levels are.
Also if a button is broken or doesn’t work, these controls can be extremely useful.

That’s all for this concept. I have some more ideas, that I would explore when I get some more time. For now I want to pass it on to you.

    Really enjoying your concepts here, i would find the speed dial and volume control widgets extremely useful. I think you’ve paid great attention to the Nothing design languge here and it fits well. I like how you considered extra scenarios like conditional view, really shows you’re thinking about this from every angle.

      Love em’ and I think I’d use a lot of them. Especially think there’s niche but useful use cases for environment noise, especially for creatives. And the note widget is useful for quick notes, especially, it helping you being more mindful, you think, you more directly from your home screen and you move on.

      Keep it up. Like others, I hope to see these come to life!

        Playing along with the Phone Temperature widget, it would be great to see other diagnostics in a widget form, such as battery health, storage capacity etc in a carousel.

        These all feel organic and cohesive with Nothing’s design language, too! 🔥

          flo_rahil really correct widgets that we need in our system, you are sharing with us the new widgets that nothing could do in the feauture and this great.

            Great concepts man!!!! I think all of these can come in very handy to most of the users, already looking forward to the update they get implemented in… but I do have one suggestion to make,is there any way u can make a widget for a tab of chrome which stays fixed. I mean that can be pretty useful bcoz I find it hard to open the Nothing community through chrome again n again.

            Just a simple suggestion n again those were some awesome concepts.

I could actually see myself using all of these widgets too, which is rare for me with concepts like this 😄 some great functionality! Hope some of these can become a reality in future, always up for more convenient Nothing widgets

Big shout-out to @Rahul for kickstarting the widget concepts. NOS widgets are fast becoming my favourite after the Glyph for helping reduce screen interactions. Any widget that helps cut down screen time is a must-have on my homescreen!
