Voidcaller – A Nothing-Inspired Dialer App!

Hi, Nothing Community! My name is **Vivek Bhimani**, and I'm excited to share a new app concept I've been working on called **Voidcaller**. Inspired by the clean and minimalist design of Nothing, Voidcaller brings that aesthetic into a unique dialer app experience. The UI/UX is crafted with the iconic Nothing style in mind—simple, functional, and visually appealing. We're still actively working on it, and I would love to hear your thoughts! Blobby There seems to be a bug. When we make a call and turn on the speaker, it works fine. But after ending the call, if we redial, the speaker option is already shown as enabled. Sometimes the voice actually comes through the speaker, and sometimes it doesn’t — it only shows as if the speaker is on.

Also, in this version, some contact photos on the main calling screen appear blurred. In addition, while scrolling through the contacts section, the contact images load a bit slowly.

DJ i will check the icon issue in the call page and about the image being blured is due to google compressing the image and the last one is intentional for now for better performance

rest assure im working on the fixes and other optimisation

Found a couple bugs: custom ringtones are not working, all calls get the default ringtone. Also as AnikethPani pointed out, glyphs don’t work yet. Phone 2, BTW.

@Ali Fakhruddin @Blobby in both your dialer app you have a problem where you can not switch to the dialer to start a call via google messages which actually provents use of either product for me maybe ypu can colaberate on a fix

That’s a good point but it’d be cool if maybe you could meet in the middle? Maybe some Ndot here, and some Ntype there?

First bro, fix these major barer minimum issue-

1- Glyph light issue which is not responsive on any call

2- give the option to silent the incoming call which is just a bare minimum feature!!

Hello, I tested the app, but it doesn't see all the contacts on my smartphone. Many contacts are not active or clickable, and when I click on specific contacts to dial them, it displays a message saying that the contact is not found, even though Google's dialer works correctly with all my contacts. The same issue occurs in the N Dial: Minimal Dialer app, which only sees a small portion of my contacts, even though it worked fine three days ago. It's unclear how to fix this issue.

Hi I was find bug in new version.
When You search by google some company and You click button to call them, dialer start calling, but screen swap to black and You can see nothing.

Vivek Bhimani loved the app - have u added direct WhatsApp telegram and sms from contact page - this was the main feature I missed ….. When I was testing void caller …. One more thing that annoyed me was getting call notification by both system and void caller simultaneously wish there was a way disable any one

Why is it tweaking ?

The Recent calls shows the contacts and keypad button opens add new contacts.

I also prefer the v1.0 top bar than the V2 :

and also in the bottom bar add some fading effect

Rishik Iyyappan They are following the bottom bar exactly like Essential Space with the new update which doesn’t have fading due to it being at the literal bottom of the screen.

Sorry, I can’t send an entire screenshot cuz of privacy reasons but, if you have a nothing phone 3, 3a, 3a pro, 4a or 4a pro, you will understand! But I understand the fading thingy from Voidcaller V1 looks nice so naturally, it is required but since they are following Nothing’s new logic, yea! Although the recents, I agree with the Recents instead of Calls lol. Also, I hope especially all the Nothing apps like Gallery, Recorder, Weather, etc., follow this same UI for uniformity and would love to community apps to do the same too but that’s too much wishful thinking 😅

Rishik Iyyappan Will fix most of these issues with 2.0, that’s one of the main reasons we’re working on it.

About the layout, Nothing phones are generally bigger and mostly used with two hands, but we’re trying to improve one-hand usability.
That’s why we moved things like search to the bottom so it’s easier to reach and use.

Hi, Thank you for your response. I understand the UI is following the new essential space. It looks nice but the main issue I had was the bottom bar. The icons are not distinguishable for a new user who are using ur application. The fading created depth effect which is missing. The UI Change for the Essential space is too overrated in my opinion. I do know many people will like it. Just that ease of use will be a downfall.

The aesthetics is fine but the ease of use takes a hit and i think this aesthetics can develop and be better. otherwise it is fine.

Please take this opinion into consideration. Thank you!
