Open Beta 2 for (2a) is here!
Thank you for being part of the first stage of our Beta programme.
We have returned today with new features for the Shared Widgets and more in the second phase of the Open Beta.
Please keep in mind that this is still a Beta version - we value your feedback and suggestions as we work towards the final release.
Here’s what this update includes:
Shared Widgets
Use widgets to link up with friends and family. See another person’s widgets displayed on your home screen and interact with each other through reactions. A new way to stay connected.
Quick Settings improvements
Refined the animations in Quick Settings. Including swipe animations, Bluetooth tile transitions, and tile resizing.
Improved the user experience when interacting with the ring tile within the Quick Settings Widget.
Smart Drawer enhancements
Enhanced app categorisation accuracy. New apps may take a short while to be properly categorised.
Introduced auto-sort. Allows your apps and folders to organise themselves based on your usage habits.
Camera enhancements
Improved stability when switching camera modes.
Upgraded HDR algorithm for better stability and enhanced photo quality.
Optimised Portrait Mode.
Enhanced brightness when using Ultra HDR Mode.
Visual and performance updates
AI-powered selection and prioritisation of your frequently used apps, keeping them at your fingertips for a smoother and more efficient experience.
PUBG now supports a high refresh rate of 90 fps, for smoother gameplay.
Added an onboarding guide for first-time Pop-up view users.
Other general bug fixes and performance improvements.
Note:
Shared Widgets are currently only supported between Nothing devices. And only Photo Widgets (square) can be shared. We are rapidly developing support for other widgets, so stay tuned!
As Shared Widgets are in beta, you might encounter some issues. We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance the experience.

Disclaimer:
Since this is a Beta version, the test software may interfere with your data and require a factory reset. In this instance, your data will be lost. We strongly recommend backing up all your data before accessing the software.
During the upgrade, the system will optimise in the background. The device may experience temporary overheating and increased power consumption, but will quickly return to normal after the upgrade is complete.
Rollback:
Rollbacks are not recommended, as unexpected issues may occur. If you decide to roll back, you must backup all your data as the rollback will result in a factory reset. All unsaved data will be lost.
Download the rollback package for Nothing OS 2.6 here.
Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version.
Tap “Import file” and select the previously downloaded package.
Follow the steps to carry through with the rollback.
(You may need to create a folder called ‘Documents’ within Internal Storage if you experience an error when trying to install/rollback)
Disclaimer: Since this is a Beta version, the rollback package may cause unknown issues to your software, and your data will be lost due to new Google rollback rules. Nothing cannot accept any responsibility for issues caused by rolling back. We strongly recommend backing up all your data before rolling back. If any issues arise, you may need to contact customer service for further help.
Chill people Nothing has already addressed why they sent update first to 2a users and then 2. And they also said that the main release will release for 2a and 2 users.
Right now 2a users has already used the open Beta 1 for a month and phone 2 users has just recieved the update. They would need to monitor the stability with the Beta 1 on phone 2 and only give the next beta. That’s what Beta update are for!
Please understand…
