I don’t like that you can power off the device without any confirmation after clicking.
I’m not a UI designer, but here’s my idea on how it could be implemented. I understand some people prefer being able to turn off without confirmation, but this post reflects only my personal opinion on the matter.

There are two versions. Let’s start with first one.

Here I’ve added only dotted style. I believe this small change could enhance the overall UI, making it feel more cohesive.

Next are the secondary menus, which would appear after clicking on the buttons in the first menu.

Here’s how I envision it should look. At the top, there’s a menu title so the user immediately knows what action they’re performing. Below that is a slider with icons to help the user understand what to do. If thats not enough, a brief instruction is provided at the bottom.

Second version is more straightforward.

It’s much simpler because the user is presented with options immediately. In the dotted style, the last part of the slider also functions as a button, allowing the user to click without sliding, although sliding is encouraged.

As I’ve said, I’m not a UI designer. Share what you think about these concepts!

We can’t even put two different photos on lock screen and home screen…

I think it will give the OS a better look and more Enhanced.

Good Stuff man - it complements the nothing design languages. You don’t need any designation to show your creative talent.

      Keep doing it.

      Hi team,

I’d like to suggest a feature for the redesigned power menu in Nothing OS 3.0. It would be really helpful if we could have an option for user authentication (PIN, fingerprint, or face unlock) before someone can turn off or restart the phone. This would add an extra layer of security and help prevent unauthorised shutdowns or reboots, especially in case the phone is lost or stolen.

Would love to know your thoughts on this.

      Thanks for considering!

The current Nothing OS power menu is already sleek and minimal, staying true to the brand’s aesthetic. Honestly, the redesign you posted feels cluttered and out of place. It takes away the clean vibe that Nothing is known for. Sometimes less is more, and this just doesn’t hit the mark.

Arkadiusz or you can just put a passcode requirement, you get the confirmation and also the power off security

BastavTuri This is just stock android power menu. Nothing did not change anything in it. I know that nothing strives to be minimalistic but I also know they are trying to make Ui feel unique and distinct.

Please add that one cannot shut down on lockscreen or requires a pin or password to shut down phone. It is too risky that anyone can shut down phone on lockscreen without any pin or password
