Yep, I’d look to either buy the CMF wallet attachment or, buy a suitable wallet which you can carry with you. There’s no hardware workaround that’ll help you.
I would suggest heading to settings>system>feedback and letting it be known that NFC is something you’d like to see in future iterations of the device.
