On Saturday 30 September, CMF by Nothing Drops took place in the UK and India: at Nothing Store Soho and Superkicks, Delhi. These were the first chances to pick up CMF by Nothing devices anywhere in the world ahead of the upcoming global release.

@Natalie ✨ and I swung by the London store to catch up with a few familiar faces and to hear the reactions from those trying the products for the first time. When we arrived there was already an impressive queue down the street…a great early indicator that CMF by Nothing has caught some attention!

    As Rob has mentioned…this wasn’t my first attendance at a Nothing Drop.
    I have been lucky enough to attend the Ear (1) retail sale at Selfridges on Day 1. Phone (1) Kiosk in Covent Garden, Ear (2) Drop at the Soho Store, Phone (2) Drop at the store and now the CMF Drop!

    It is always a great feeling seeing the queue outside the store and see it stretch around the corner past the comic bookshop, nearby.

    I waited my turn in the queue, after having brief chats with fellow community members, Dylan and Tor, as I made my way along to the back of the line. After around 30 minutes after the Drop had started, I was in and buying away!

    As ever, the team at the Nothing Soho Store were excellent, welcoming and knowledgeable! I found myself chatting to John (he must be sick of me by now!), and he processed my purchase of the Watch Pro and the 65W GaN charger. I opted for the Dark Grey watch and band and the Black GaN brick.

    Lovely to see both Community Manager, Rob and Community Assistant, Natalie in attendance, both with some serious camera hardware! As well as Akis, Co-Founder and Lewis, Marketing Lead for CMF. Lewis dressed in a glorious orange for the event and Akis was equipped with some SuperSaf sunglasses!

    Until the next product launch…Community gathering or whatever happens next, I look forward to it all.
    And with my new watch, I shall be counting the seconds on this shiny new smart toy! 😉

      Love seeing all this commentary and the great photos, looks like it was a very successful drop day. Pleased as well for you fellow community members who got the chance to meet in person, that’s always my favourite part about these drops (besides the amazing products, of course!). Enjoy your CMF products, looking forward to hearing your thoughts after some time using them.

        I was fortunate enough to be in attendance to the CMF drop, and conversely to Ealesy101 , this was my first Nothing Drop! (well, actually my first drop of anything really! - as far as I can remember)

        At position #2 in the queue, you can spot me proudly rocking the Bulbasaur hoodie. But dressed up better than me was the Nothing Store in all it’s CMF glory! John, Rob, Natalie and everyone on hand made the process such a breeze! I happily snapped up a Metallic Watch, Orange Buds and the Black GaN brick! *(I also copped a second pair of Ear(Sticks) for my wonderful Fiancee who came along with - I may re-review the Ear(Sticks), they’ve found a special place in my heart..)

        With the drop, I had the opportunity to meet everyone I mentioned above, #1 and #3 in the queue (Shout out to Michael and Alfred respectively! I hope to see more of you in the Discord and at the next events!) I also had a chance to speak to Akis and show some appreciation for all the work behind the products! Finally, as Louis ☕️ mentioned, meeting people at Drops and Community events is such an awesome experience and having met Ryan and Tor today, along with crossing paths with other community members, I am so eager for the next event I’ll be able to attend!

        Now, I’m off to unbox my haul! I really am eager to get started with the products and potentially get my thoughts up on here!

                    I can’t recognise myself in any of these pictures. But it was a between work visit, so not sure if I made it for bang on opening time. But made it in time to pick up the Ear (1)s! 🎉

                        Like Rob ⚡️ mentioned, this isn’t my first rodeo 😂 jokes aside - It’s fortunate for myself that Nothing is in London and so am I which makes it great for popping down to attend one of the drops. I’ve managed to check out the Ear 1 at the Kiosk, I’ve still got my #1 Ear Stick from the Nothing Store (SOHO) opening launch and grabbed the Launch Edition of the Phone 2 from there as well and now the latest CMF Drops.

                        I managed to get to the drop at around some time past 11am - plenty time and early enough I thought - until I read the comments on Discord that a line was forming? OMG I thought - and I double timed it to the store to make sure I didn’t fall too back in the queue. The fact there was a qeue at all really surprised me, given the budget nature of the cmf sub brand, but it’s a good sign that maybe this is something the market is looking for after-all. I took my place in line just around the corner of the comic shop that’s next to the store.

                        @Dylan_B waved his hand in the air - as I asked on Discord - and I could see him up front in the queue and was my first community connection of the day.

                        Although, I totally didn’t realise I was standing in the queue behind @MaxSoliman and it was nice to meet a familiar face. All of a sudden though a wild @Rob ⚡️ appeared! I threw out a Pokeball and managed to catch a moment of his time as he popped down the line to say hi and chat. @Akis was also on the scene too pulling off his SuperSaf impersonation with his funky shades. I dub thee SuperSakis!!! I counted about 21 people in the line when the security guard asked if anyone was here for the Supreme store? A few replied yes and we actually lost some people! doh! however the ranks were soon replenished with some true believers and all was good.

                        Also on the scene was Nothing’s own roving community reporter @Natalie ✨ snapping snaps and shooting video coverage of the event itself. She also stopped by down the line to say hi and have a chat too, what an amazing community team. You all rock!!!

                        Time flew by and before I could say “c, m, f” I was inside to take a look at the new products. Mr D’Jay was spinning his digital turn table belting out some funky tunes, I think they make a good glyph composer track and I partook in giving the dude some love.

                        All three cmf products were on show here: The 65W GaN charger, Buds Pro, and of course the Watch Pro which was the hot seller, so hot they sold out of ’em!

                        The charger was smaller than I expected somehow, seeing as UK plugs are usually large, this was pretty small and could fold and was more like a GaN travel adapter which was nice. They only had the black one sadly and not the other colours. I was keen on a light grey watch pro, but they only had the darkn grey and the metallic grey (orange) in-store.

                        Lastly the buds pro were available in all 3 colour ways and for the price seemed decent.

                        I ended up getting the Trifecta lot!

                        The store even had a new bag I dub thee Nothing Store Bag 2.0 - the bags previously at the store were plastic based while the new one is paper based. However, it has a clever design where the top bit folds and gives you a pre-made handle to carry. As the bag is paper it is easier to recycle and means less plastic! Nice one!

                        Now if you excuse me, I need to unbox all these great items now - see you at the next drop - and remember to stay Glyhpy!!!

                            All CMF by Nothing products are back in stock in the Soho store!

                            I was working in-store last week and I was amazed by customers’ demand for Watch Pro, though I could only demo the device as it was out of stock. Super exciting that you can pick it up now! ⌚️🟠

                            Dodoposter you can purchase the new products from the Nothing Company website but the only problem is that it redirects you to another website which happens to be in India 🇮🇳 and when going to purchase i login a new account only to be greeted with putting in my email then my phone number in which i had a notification kept popping up stating that the number does not exist even tho i was using the phone with the SIM card correct number so i tried many different ways of trying to get my details accepted but through all the time I spent i was still getting that notification even tho i received a email from the Nothing Company stating that now the products are available to purchase for people in uk 🇬🇧 but and Europe so good luck on this one ☝️ because it assumes that if you live in India 🇮🇳 then you have no problems whatsoever in purchasing the products but you live outside that geographical area then you will be greeted with the same notification as i was after spending loads of time filling out details. Absolutely unbelievable
