Widgets are surely one of the most good looking and useful features for a smartphone, they make the user-interface interaction easier and more direct. Even more inside the Nothing language design.
Actually useful widgets
Most widgets concepts made by the community that I have seen so far, are interesting and some will fit inside my homescreen. Though more than a half of them, aren’t that practical but nifty looking.
I thought on some worthwhile widgets, that would help a huge amount of users, with some handy and time efficient features.
The widgets:
Task manager slider
This slider allow you to add a photo and a to-do task. You can add several tasks at the same time. Including a check button ✅
AI Photo Finder
This is my favourite one. For all those users that have a ton of pictures in their gallery and strive to find a specific picture. This is the perfect tool, you’ll only need to write a brief description of the picture in mind, and the AI will find it for you. Prompt example: “A picture of me with the sunrise in the background, 17th June at 7AM”.
(Note: no idea if this could be implemented exactly like this, but a similar tool would be incredibly useful).
Post-it swipeable notes
No need to be specific here, the description and the concept speak for themselves.
Days remaining
The date widget is kewl. But who doesn’t really know the actual date and need a big widget for that? That’s why I think a numeric countdown would be more useful, and will be an alternative for the upcoming countdown widget, for the people that want a more precise timeline reminder.
(Got the idea from a Moon that takes 3 days to fall over Termina)
Double tab calendar widget
A tab for the visual calendar, and another one for the upcoming events.
These will look like this, in a homescreen
Bonus concepts:
I like the redesigned lockscreen for the Nothing OS 3.0 (though I preferred the previous PIN screen with the dotted numbers and overall style), and hopefully the team will add more clockfaces in the future, in the meantime I made this digital clock one, which I personally like.
And…
What about a musical PIN screen? Every note will sound and you will create your own melody as a PIN. Let me know your thoughts about it.
Some people will say that anyone around will identify your PIN just hearing it, but I don’t think most people can identify musical notes in such a short period of time. I don’t know.
Hope you like these concepts. Greetings.
