If home screen is a static wallpaper then why the refresh rate is fixed at 120. It’s the same for settings page also.

Does it not contribute to increased power consumption? Also, is it the same for everyone or just me?

The screens on the Nothing phone are not LTPO and do not change the refresh rate depending on usage. LTPO screens are installed in more expensive smartphones. If you want to extend battery life, use a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

On my 2a plus there is such an option, refreshing rate can be set as dynamic - auto switch, high -120 or low -60 Hz

If your device brightness is set to lower side, the refresh rate will not change its a bug or a feature of OLED screen, either set brightness to auto or keep it above 70%, then the refresh rate will go as low as 1fps on static pages.

P.s - do check display settings whether you have set you screen rate on dynamic or high

Alexshax nothing phone 2 has LTPO amoled display panel. It does automatically go to as low as 1 fps on static screens.

Yes, right. I forgot about the brightness. When brightness is above 55, refresh rate goes as low as 10 Hz, and for above 85, it drops to 1 Hz. It’s a feature.

        Thanks for replies.
