Happy Diwali Everyone 🪔
Organised and shot in India in just 6 hours, and edited in an hour, this quick project was made possible thanks to my talented college junior, @mbv.jr, who managed the shoot, along with the efforts of everyone involved. It’s a small Diwali gift for Nothing, showcasing the synergy between the warmth of Diwali and the Glyph interface.
Backstory: During the recent board meeting at Nothing, with Diwali around the corner, I casually floated the idea of showcasing the synergy between the Glyph interface and diyas, as a way to tap into India’s cultural essence. Carl suggested collaborating with the marketing team, but given the time and budget constraints, it didn’t seem feasible in time. That’s when I decided to take it on as a personal project. I wrote the script with shot descriptions and reached out to my talented college junior to handle the shoot. My brother lent us his Nothing Phone (2), and the shoot was on. Everyone pulled an all-nighter to make it happen. Once we had the footage, I sat down to complete the edit. It’s not perfect, but it feels just right. Super grateful for everyone involved in this.
