Was going to get the Phone 2 on the USA website but its been out of stock for ever. Went to amazon and even their most models are sold out. Has the Phone 2 been discontinued?

Probably. The 2a Plus is a better deal and the Phone(3) is not too far away (i hope).

Nothing does not have the money to “overproduce” something they dont sell. Currently the cheap devices is what makes them money.

There have been a few reports regarding production of the Phone (2) indeed has ended. A fellow user has contacted Nothing support since the NP2 hasn’t been in stock on their official online store, only to be told there won’t be any restocks and he should look at the (2a) Plus for best performing product in the current catalog. There also were two different posts on Reddit from India, regarding which employees in official Nothing stores stated the Phone (2) is indeed out of production.

It’s sad but then let’s hope Phone 3 will be as good as Phone 2 😀

      wtf984 I wouldn’t say it’s a better deal, quite the opposite.
(2a) Plus costs 450€ and I payed 480€ for my Phone(2) which is superior in build quality, SoC, display, wireless charging, number of glyphs etc…

The best deal would be to get a plain (2a), since (2a) Plus doesn’t really have anything worth upgrading for other than looks, for 350€ or less.

KarlKeppler by the way, it seems like it is indeed discontinued. Someone sent a message to support and they confirmed this. So you can resort to third party sellers, wait for Phone(3) if you want a flagship or get Phone(2a) (plain, not Plus).

KarlKeppler I think they’ve been slowing production on the 2 for a while actually. Most of what’s sold on Amazon is through resellers. 2a Plus is definitely not better than the 2. The snapdragon chipset is consistently faster offering a smoother experience overall. However 2a Plus is a better price unless you get a used 2 for around ~450$ which you can sometimes find them for even less. The best overall value I’d say is getting a regular 2a since it’s basically identical in everyday use in comparison to the 2a plus. Really the 2a plus is just design preference. Spec wise and actual use is negligible.

Hopefully soon enough Phone 3 will actually be released. I’m just hoping they keep snapdragon on the higher end model, and hopefully it’s priced this time to better align with the specs, providing more value to buyers over the 2. Not that the 2 was bad or anything just at launch the initial pricing was a bit too high for the specs / overall value in return. Once prices came down, it was a really solid buy for many.

From what I heard, the Phone 3 is sometime in like July, so we have a ways to go…..

They like to drop their flagships in july. That would mean months without releasing a phone but having seen how many (2a)s they have released just this year it’s hard to believe😅
Besides, dropping the new phone with the new OS would make sense…

A Dacia Duster is a better deal if you compare it to a BMW X1.
I never said its the better phone.

You usually pay 100-150€ more for the Nothing Phone 2. Thats why i think the 2a+ is the better deal.
          Opinions may be different here.

For Nothing the 2a+ probably is the best deal so far. I guess they make the most money from it and we will profit too, nothing will keep growing.

Im really looking forward to the NP(3) and i dont really know why, the NP(2) never failed me.
