Ear (2) Battery Life Discussion

Ear 2 has the worst battery life I have ever encountered, previously owned jabra elite 7, samsung buds 2 Pro, and sony earbuds before ear 2, and they have at least twice the battery life. I barely get 3 hours without anc. Disabled high quality audio in nothing app in hope of getting more battery, but there is no difference. Tested ear 2 on phone 2, pixel 7 and galaxy s23, they all have equally bad battery life. Of course I have the latest firmware. This is so sad because the headphones are very good but unusable with this poor battery. On top of this, enabling high quality audio in settings you get bluetooth latency lag when watching TV and movies, but not on pixel and samsung, only on your own phone 2 !???! Submitted bug report on release date of phone 2, so far nothing is getting me nothing 🙃. Contacted support in the matter, but they only gave me standard answer like I am some kind of noob, never had owned a phone before.

Right side ear bud charge to 90% only whereas left ear bud get charge to 100% but when I reset the ear buds both get charge to 100% and after connecting with Bluetooth and using buds and charge them then again right bud charge to 90% and left to 100% . Is it normal

I had ordered an Ear 2 today and then noticed this page and read through it, I am waiting for my Ear 2 to arrive and I don’t know if I will have the same issue, if I do, I will return it and leave a status update here.

UPDATE

My Ear 2’s arrived, I charged them fully as soon as they arrived, and after 2:08 hours of use, they dropped to 50% charge. I turned off all extra features, especially when you first start using the ear 2’s, LHDC comes turned on, you need to turn it off. These are the results of my first experience, I will make a few more status updates later.

Why the battery is draining so fast in this earphone lately?

As soon as i open and connect, its already 10% down within the first minute. I am getting around 1hr of continuous playback with ANC-on and IN EAR DETECTION-off and in 60-70% of total volume.

Please help.

so I got my Ear(2) as my replacement for Ear(1) on March 2024 for Rs.4.4K, I enjoyed using my Ear(2) till this year July 2025, my Left Bud’s battery was draining way quickly compared to my Right Buds, now it got to a point that my left bud’s battery drains under 10mins of its usage. right one is working with no issue.

So I thought, now its out of warranty, more than 1 year when I got these, so I thought I can get a replacement of my left buds with a fee ofc. BUT GUESS what? the official service center of Nothing, told me these are not repairable, and I can get a same brand new Ear(2) at the cost of Rs.5.5k!

That’s insane. why should I have to buy a new same product which is already 2yrs Old now at the cost Rs.5.5K, its creates an e-waste problem, because the rest of my Ear(2)'s Right buds, and the case have no issue, I JUST WANT A NEW LEFT BUDS, BUT NO! WHY?
