mdshahil19 head’s up to Community Projects on Nothing Discord. Not official but someone build it
My nothingphone 2 was updated in the first place, and now it’s a beta version of Android 14, and I’m watching Netflix and it’s getting worse, from FullHD to SD, I don’t know what the reason is. Is anyone in the same situation? WidevineL1 becomes L3. Is there anyone to answer for me?
I enjoy using this firmware. I have not met any errors or bugs. Thanks a lot for the screenshot with three fingers - I’m very used to this function. The overall smoothness of the system has improved
_Gv_8cpAivMu0Q As I’m sure you are aware, widevine certifications can be impacted by different OS versions. You have installed beta software which may, for whatever reason, not meet the upper requirements at this time. This may change in the future as 2.5 stable builds are released.
Nothing ear 1 icon does not appear in bluetooth homescreen widget and volume slider as before when connected to phone.
Can this be fixed as it was in 2.3
rozeni any luck with the rollback
AbhishekSingh_qFhOMgmaVW as mentioned above, please submit your feedback via the feedback menu in the OS.
HussainNazar If you rollback to NOS 2.0.3, it will back to normal, L1. So, don’t worry.
Sickchild72 For the DRM Widevine, I believe back to L1 because NP2 A13 are certified. In A14, it gets L3 because not certified and is Open Beta also. Like @Rob said, NOS 2.5 Stable will have L1 because it was already tested and certified at that time. A different OS version (Closed/Open Beta) and not been tested yet cause the DRM Widevine result is L3.
L3 on Open Beta (Major Android update) is normal.
Rob I have already mentioned this on several platforms. Is there a possibility that they will enable the option to use an external microphone through the USB-C to record videos with the Nothing’s camera? When I connect my DJI microphone, it works with the voice recorder, TikTok, and Google’s GCam, but it doesn’t work with Nothing’s native camera. It might seem trivial, but when I bought this device, I thought it had this feature. I switched from another brand and was surprised to find that it doesn’t work. This is important for content creators.
Will it be possible to Upgrade to the final Version later on from the beta or do I have to roll back to Android 13 first?
I think this is an important information.
I’m also facing the same issue
Chris_woXvJVbBAT It has already been said, scroll up
Phone is not heating , but during calling alone phone gets heated. Fix this software bug
Rob The OS 2.0.3 has many bugs which are yet to be addressed like signal connectivity issue when moving from a 4g signal to 5g and vice versa.. Wifi signal connectivity problem is yet to be resolved camera functionality is not up to the mark etc.etc.. I think Nothing has made a DEVICE but forgot to implement basic phone features.. God knows what next update brings to the table..
When will we get a proper manual control for dirac system in Nothing?
