Hello, just bought a Nothing phone 2 a few weeks ago, and wanted to give some feedback for nothing os 3.0

One of the basic features that it was missing was the time remaining for the battery to be fully charged, my phones for the past 5-7 years has had this feature and I think it is a useful one, even iPhone is adding this to their next software update, so maybe nothing can do that also.

Another feature is the limiting the battery charge to 80 or 85%, yes I know there is a feature that blocks charging for overnight, but it is not as useful as having the phone to charge only to 80%. There are times that people charge their phones during the day and it would be nice to have the phone stop charging at 80% to prolong the battery life

I have installed the beta version of os 3.0🥳 and tested the camera low light tuning.

Well the low light mode is improved but still needs some changes, I have taken two photos one with night mode and other with normal mode in same condition just after one another.

The photos were taken on nothing phone 2 (with os 3.0 open beta)

The first image which you will see is little better than the second one, but the first image was taken without night mode.

Then I tried to take with night mode and the results are such

The exposure control is not good, and the overall image doesn’t look good.

I think the Team Nothing need to work on camera part before the stable release.

Although the nothing phone 2 doesn’t not have cinematic video mode, I think they should give it in the update 🎉.

You can give through Feedback option system settings for it to reach software team and secondly you tagged Natalie, she doesn’t work in software team. And also you mentioned about cinematic mode. If hardware is capable to handle and do it they will add it. Otherwise hardware might not be capable

        I’m not knowing what’s the issue, I’ve read somewhere saying there’s beta 2 update for nothing phone 2 but yet how many ever times I tried to check for update, it says this

          After a week of using Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta 1, here is my feedback

          • The same issue from Nothing OS 2.X, still exist. Which is the screen does not respond to any touch. The button works fine. After a hard reboot (press the power button until it restarts), back to normal.
          • It is super smooth, feel like using a new phone
          • Unable to check the update on Nothing Beta OTA Update. IDK it because there’s new Beta is cooking or something wrong with the function.
          • The Lockscreen widget still does not support 3rd party apps and I hope it may support

          Well, this is Open Beta 1, so a long way to go before meet a stable release. I’m happy with this update, so far so good.

          Note: I did a factory reset after installing this update. So, it may cause some issues or fix some issues. IDK. hahahaha 🤣

          Vishwam okay thanks, and btw does it say the same now for you too because I am having some issues with the network like when I do a speed test and all using wifi everything feels fine but, I generally play Cod mobile and from yesterday it just doesn’t login and it’s saying network error, I’ve tried resetting all the network options and restarting, but nothing works, it just keeps saying the same thing. Yesterday I’ve used a hotspot of my friend who uses vpn, and that seems to be a concern like even I’ve seen the same post by someone having the same issue.

            PROBLEM ALERT!! Camera has significantly degraded after the beta update. the quality has reduced and the overall image is grainy/noisy. night mode is basically nothing and post processing blurs the whole thing. extremely disappointed rn. i know you guys are working on making it better but try not to ruin something which is already running good on most phones

            Issue: When the Phone starts, a mouse cursor appears, need to fix that

            I am facing signal issues with beta 3 signal suddenly dropped when I put same card in other device it started working fine

            It won’t let me install the backup package. What can I do to install it?

                DawiD For updating to open beta 1 you have to use beta updater tool but then you will get other updates via OTA in system settings which came recently in phone 2a which recently released open beta 2
