Merged 1 post from Hotspot connected devices?.

There’s no option in Wi-Fi Hotspot to limit the number of devices that can connect to the network and block the devices which is already connected to the network. It’s a little bit frustrating 🙁

Subject: Request to Add a Feature for Hiding Hotspot

Dear Nothing Team,

Greetings,

I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation for your continuous efforts in delivering innovative devices, particularly the Nothing Phone (2), which you have designed with advanced features and great creativity.

I am writing to suggest adding an important feature to the phone’s settings, which is the ability to hide the hotspot network name (SSID). This feature helps enhance privacy and security when sharing internet connections with other devices. Currently, many competing devices offer this feature, and I believe adding it to Nothing phones will significantly improve the user experience.

I kindly ask you to consider this suggestion and, if possible, include this feature in upcoming system updates.

Thank you for your understanding and continuous support for your users. I look forward to hearing your response regarding this suggestion.

Best regards,

There should be a feature related to how many devices can connect to hotspot . And a feature for blocking them.

Why there is no options to check

  1. Device Visibility-How many devices connected through Hotspot
  2. Device Identification-Name of devices currently connected through Hotspot and List of devices connected in Hotspot
  3. Blocking Devices-Options to block other devices connected in Hotspot

Most of the users had problems due to no availability of these features

Whoever had difficulty in these issue, Discuss about this issue and let the Nothing tech team solve those issues.

You can see the number of connected devices in the setting yet we can’t see which device is connected and the option to disconnect it. And im tired of changing the password everytime.

Hi, I have noticed that there is no easy way of finding how many and which devices are connected to your hotspot in settings. I remember on my old Xiaomi, I could see every device, it’s name and Mac address, and I could kick or ban them. I found that very handy, and it woul be very nice to have on the nothing phone as well.
