Meine CMF-Uhr zeigt den Kontaktnamen nicht an, wenn ein eingehender Anruf eingeht. Kann das durch ein Software-Update behoben werden? Und die Uhr ahmt nur den Klingelton des Telefons nach, während ein Anruf eingeht? Irgendwelche Lösungen? Ps: Ich habe auch alle Berechtigungen erteilt.

Will Somone from CMF address this post? This seems to be a pretty widespread issue of basic smartwatch functionality being broken.

I am using a up to date CMF watch pro with a up to date Nothing Phone 2. Is there a fix in the works? I will be returning promptly if no solution is in sight.

Hello,
My Watch Pro is not displaying the name of contacts saved in the app when I get text message notifications. Only the phone number is displayed. I have followed the steps given to me from support which included clearing the app cache and storage, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, resetting the watch itself, making sure the firmware is the lates version and making sure all the correct permissions are set. None of that has worked. I have also tried changing the format of the phone numbers themselves (I am in the US). One of the primary reasons I got the watch was for text notifications so I would like to figure this out. The messaging app I use is Messages on Android and I am using a Pixel 6a with the latest version of Android installed.

Caniwi thank you for confirming that. I’m not the only one. I have been going back and forth with support for the past couple days on this. There still has been no resolution. I noticed that you’re having issues with SMS. At first I thought maybe it was an issue with RCS messages. So when I saw your post I had some messages sent to me from SMS and the contact name is not displaying for them either. So I just think it’s some type of bug in the messaging. I will let you know if support is able to figure it out if they get back to me.

Yup, same issue. Being able to add only 20 contacts in itself is a huge dealbreaker. To not be able to see who is calling is apalling. Why is nobody talking about this in the reviews?! Just 2 hours in and I am already questioning if I gave the design a bit too much importance while buying.

UPDATE - I was facing this issue on my OnePlus 9 Pro running Android 13.

Since my phone had the green line issue it was submitted in the service center for screen replacement. I had to reset the phone while submitting and I received it with the Android 14 update (the update coincidentally dropped at that time).

Ever since, all contact names for incoming calls are getting displayed properly. I don’t know what fixed it but I feel this issue has not been watch related afterall.

I’ve solved this number needs to be saved In your phone with +44 in front you then save this to watch contacts and delete any numbers without +44 on watch contacts otherwise it will duplicate and not work.

MarcusWittcomb I put my country area code in, but for texts, I still don’t get a name on it. I only get a number; their name shows up when they call but not text.

Any help? This software is atrocious

Hey everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my CMF Watch Pro 2, and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or found a solution.

Issue:

When receiving calls, my watch sometimes displays the caller’s name correctly, but other times it only shows the phone number—even when the contact is saved on my Nothing Phone 2.

My Setup:

Smartwatch: CMF Watch Pro 2

Software Version: V1.0.0.70

Phone: Nothing Phone 2

OS Version: Nothing OS 3

Android Version: 15

Troubleshooting Steps I’ve Tried:

Checked that Bluetooth is stable and properly connected.

Ensured that the CMF Watch app has contact access permissions.

Resynced contacts by toggling contact sharing in the CMF Watch app.

Cleared cache and reinstalled the CMF Watch app.

Restarted both my phone and smartwatch.

Factory reset the smartwatch and paired it again.

Tested with another phone, and the issue persists.

Still, the problem remains. It’s frustrating because it affects call handling, and I’d really appreciate any insights.

Questions:

Has anyone else encountered this issue on the CMF Watch Pro 2?

Could this be a software bug in V1.0.0.70?

Any workarounds or expected fixes in upcoming updates?

MohammadMehrara same issue bro. Tried visiting Nothing service center but no use. They are asking to format my phone which is utter non sense.

I felt helpless by spending money on this bad watch. From day 1 facing same error. Not showing contact person name. Sometimes it shows sometimes it doesn’t. Going to be my last Nothing product.

Same problem here. I watched a couple of reviews and noone explained that there is no caller ID. I understand the contact list in the app, since you can use the watch itself for calling, but otherwise its just plain stupid.

Other issue for me is that if I start a timer, the watch stays on and I cannot use other functions, while the timer is ticking. Not big deal, but an oversight for sure IMO.

Please Nothing, fix this! That is basic functionality!
