Please fix this lag issue/frame dropping( app opening and closing) that came along with this trash update. No update for camera and battery but actually degrading both with each software updates. The phone is as laggy as I’m using a Rs 8000 phone.

    Sad to see how company that was supposed to be something big and new falls to being even worse than the old players with buggy products and terrible info to customers. Hopefully they are even trying o fix the issues others are already mentioned. Terrible battery and laggy camera on whatsapp. Not sure will I buy their products anymore as in ears and this phone 1 have been below par.

    Issues with Call App and App Crashes After Updating to Nothing OS 2.6

    Hi everyone,

    I recently updated my Nothing Phone (1) to Nothing OS 2.6 on 8th November 2024, and I’ve been encountering several issues since then. Here’s what’s been happening:

    1. Call App Not Working: Whenever I try to make a call, it automatically ends, and I can’t receive any incoming calls as they all get disconnected instantly.

    2. App Crashes: Apps like YouTube and WhatsApp are crashing frequently while in use, which is quite frustrating.

    Is anyone else experiencing similar issues, or does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    NabajyotiDey everything you said is true there are lags and jitters after updating which can be solved just go to launcher app info and uninstall all updates and I install it again and for battery do one thing keep the device for charging for 2-3 hrs without using it and you will see major improvement in battery backup I did the above steps and it made experience smooth

        Is anyone else encountering similar issues, or does anyone have suggestions on possible fixes?

            SrinivasaPrasad not encountered any of the above issues about call drop try resetting the mobile network settings and about youtube clear all data of youtube once now whatsapp clear cache of the app and try updating it if available

            I don’t know if this will fix the issue or not but I recommend trying it once

              That battery thing havent helped me. I allways charge over night with slow charger and also Have tried that trick of keeping it in charger.

              At least they managed to fix the issues with keyboard and backlight flickering which was issue for too long. I remember back in the day with cheap no brand chinese phones that had issues like this. For years I was with oneplus without issues and wondering of going back as would be against reason to buy phone 2 if the first one is broken beyond repair.

                  matsku12 hmm I tried the method and it helped me battery backup is good now I h updated the device on 7th November and charged the device for the first time on 8th November and still 54% battery is left with an sot of 3 hr 30 min and I even played game for 20 min which supports 120hz gameplay can you tell me how old is your phone 1??

                    I reset my call My mobile network settings, Clear Cache memory and also even I factory data reset my mobile phone, still the issue remains

                    Is anyone else encountering similar issues, or does anyone have suggestions on possible fixes?

                      SrinivasaPrasad My whatsapp is crashing since today morning, but i thought that this is due to a trash beta update since i am a beta tester for whatsapp. But now i do think that the issues you mentioned have been faced by me after this system update.

                          Not only WhatsApp even apps like YouTube and Instagram are too getting crashed while using the application and mainly calling app is not working i tried with various SIM cards in my phone - I cannot receive calls and make calls, Calls are immediately getting ended
