Facing an issue on my Nothing Phone 1 , I get a static screeching sound from my in-line microphone while recording or playing any online games with voice chat on (my friends get that weird static noise all the time).
I use :
Soundmagic E10C earphones
Fiio x JadeAudio JA11 USB-C to 3.5mm adaptor (with inbuilt DAC)
Whenever I connect the earphones throught this adaptor, I get that noise continuously. However , this setup works properly on my Xiaomi Pad 6 and ASUS ROG laptop without any issues at all.
Interestingly, Soundmagic has provided an computer adaptor which separates the audio output and mic input terminals for the PC. So, when I connect the type c adaptor to the computer adaptor and then to the earphones via audio-in terminal , the noise disappears as the inline mic terminal is seperated and turned off so the phone uses its own mic instead.
I think it the issue with NP1 software trying to analyse and decode the inline mic input through the DAC adaptor resulting in that noise. Definately looks like a software issue.
Images in my post don’t seem to appear (so here are the links) :

Yet to try it with a non-DAC adaptor.
Any help regarding this?
