Why Nothing is silent on AMOLED display quality? It such a shame that user’s can’t experience the true screen viewing. Just take a look at the uploaded video make us very bad feel and takes away the fun.. the colour changes from grey to black and Balck to grey during the video playback. Is this issue with dark mode theme as they included ‘grey’ instead of pitch black colour.

    Mirko_ddd nope. I think it’s a software issue and can be fixed it. Just go through the users who complained many times in this forum. Everyone has the same issue with their phones. U can’t blame us by simply saying like that. It’s a new phone not even 2 weeks old. Many users went to service center and came back with no resolution and the feedback was it’s not a display issue from service center.

        I didn’t blame anyone, I just asked if you are really showing us a screen capture as evidence of bad AMOLED panel.

        If you have dead pixels you should use a white (or really clear) background, not black. What am I supposed to see in a black screen?

            What do even mean??? can you explain your problem in brief please.
            I have been using my phone for the past year and half and i have never experienced any problem related to black pixels or dark mode if that’s what you meant explain your problem a little.

            Mirko_ddd it’s not a screen capture. Did u even clicked the play button for the video which I’ve attached ? Have u seen at the top which highlighted in the video that shows colour changing grey and black during video playback

                Heera i agree with you man. Yes it was the major drawback of 2a.The display is not worth of even 20$ . They have used very cheap display panels. What iam facing is during playing a video the blacks are showing grey spots. They are not going to rectify it. Is it still there in NOS 3.0 beta program?

                    Have you turned on ambient mode on YouTube?

                      SanthoshYellisetti yes, its still available in 3.0 beta 2 as well. Not sure this issue is occurring due to dark mode as we have ‘grey’ instead of pitch black true colour or they given us very bad quality display. I am very surprised to see why other people’s aren’t supporting us ? It’s just a feedback we are providing to improve. Anyways it’s upto them we have to live with this whether we like or not. I hope they fix this in next update.

                          Heera if ambient mode is enabled on YouTube, you may encounter this issue. try disabling ambient mode to see if that resolves it.

This fixed the colour changing issue outside the video layer but still the effects of grey and black changing colours can be visible inside the playing video as well. Let’s hope this can be fixed in pitch black theme mode. Assuming this is issue with ‘grey’ colour in dark mode.

                                Experiencing the same screen issue colors fluctuate significantly while watching dark content, which really ruins the experience. The worst part is that they haven’t even addressed the issue yet. I truly hope it’s a software problem that will be fixed in the future. We need to raise our voices about this.

                                Heera I hope someday you will reason about the fact that if you see color changing in a screen capture video means that does not depend on the panel (indeed turned out to be the YouTube ambient mode 🤣).

                                    Mirko_ddd yeah, someone from admin edited my post title That doesn’t mean that’s issue is not there. I hope u never used any AMOLED display or just pretending to support Nothing. If u have come from samsung, vivo, OnePlus Nord you will never accept it the quality of display ! I might be addressed question wrongly about the issue but yes display sucks. They are all grey and black colours around in display ! Just go through the forum page u will see all the compliants !

                                        Heera I am not saying that the quality of the 2a panel is perfect, I just asked you if you really think that a screen capture can show the quality of the panel (which is really not a good move if you think about it).

                                        For the third time I ask you if you really understand what I am saying.

                                        I use an old Pixel 7 as my daily phone, and yes, the screen is better than the one on the 2a, but it is also true that I paid my Pixel 7 almost the double of the price of 2a, so I don t expect a top quality overall in terms of hardware.

                                        Conclusion: you are right to complain, but you chose a bad example. Also reporting that youtube bar is not black is not an issue of the phone, is a design choice of the youtube app.

                                            Thanks for your response! Still I stick with my words display can be improved better if it’s possible with software update.

                                            As myself compared with other device with same mid range price like Nord CE4 , Vivo v27, Motorola edge fusion, Samsung A35 in the same price category they are way superior in display quality than 2a. Pixel 7 is out of league as it comes in the flagship phones.
