Theme: Your favourite photo from 2024.

Hey Community!

Believe it or not, another full year has passed, and we’ve seen a lot of amazing photographs captured by our community.

Whether you participated in one of our Monthly Photo Challenges, or even had your photography featured at the Phone (2a) launch event in Delhi, it’s been a pleasure to see your images over the course of the year. Here’s a small selection of great photos from @AndreaFanelli, @Michael Photo and @Rahul.

So, as a final photo challenge for 2024, we thought we’d set a more reflective theme, and also award a few prizes…

Theme: Your favourite photo from 2024.

We’d like to invite you to look back through your gallery and identify one photo that you took this year. Share it below in the thread, and tell us:

  • Why is this your favourite photo? Did you experiment with a photography technique that produced a stunning image? Or did you capture a moment that forms a cherished memory? Tell us all about it.
  • What camera or device did you use? Did you use any special settings?
  • When was the photo taken?

    • This Image/Place Very Special For Me Becoz This Day Is Most Memorable Day of My Entire Life, This Is My Dream Place 🥰, Coz Me My Betterhalf Enjoy There & Create Some Great Memories.

    • Taken on 7 September.

My favourite photo this year was taken in Milan. The photo was taken during my 1st time travelling to another country as part of my birthday celebrations. Having worked so hard for a few years it was a significant milestone in my journey as it was the first time I’ve been able to travel to another country.

I took this on my nothing phone 2 using one of the stock camera filters.

The photo was taken in March 2024.

        My favourite photo from 2024:

I took this photo with the Phone (2a), codenamed Aerodactyl. It’s a fun nod to my prehistoric nerd brain, with the Jurassic Coast and its history, as well as Aerodactyl being a fossil Pokémon revived from Old Amber. The Phone (2a) itself was brought to life from the initial concepts of the Phone (1), making the connection even more meaningful to me.

I went on a day trip to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, hoping to find some prehistoric fossils. While I didn’t find any, I realised I had my own “Old Amber” in hand – the Nothing Phone (2a). Naruto, representing my journey, was the perfect companion for the shot.

Everything about this photo speaks to me: the character, the location, and the phone. This shot is straight out of the camera with no special settings.

This is my favorite photo of the year. Snowflake.

There was a lot of snow in my country recently, and I wanted to check out if the phone could handle the closeup photos.

I took the photo at November 27th, 2024 with Nothing Phone (2), stock camera app 2x telephoto lens and used image enhancing Python code which I coded by myself for better quality of the photo.

Shot on Nothing Phone 2a, 05.11.2024

Shot it when I was going to my night time job at Malbork Castle. It was a dark and foggy day and the lights illuminating the whole castle area made this moment beautiful.

This exact photo is unedited besides slightly lowering the brightness in the camera app.

I love this picture, because of how the 3 duos of subjects are layed out and how they seem to interact with each other (the elderly group reacts to how those pidgeons “hijacked” the table for some french fries, and that girl in the poster seems to take interest in the spectacle happening next to her, instead of enjoying a meal with her mom).

Shot on Phone (2), no adjustments, special equipment or much preparation before shooting. Thought it was the right moment, just pulled my phone out of my pocket, and shoot. That day I was on a photo taking spree for a college project.

I took the image on March 25th

Natalie ✨ Hey, I have a lot of pictures and memories that I clicked with my nothing phone (2) In different themes

I was wondering if we can attach submit multiple pictures

            Natalie ✨

That’s my one of the favourite photos in 2024.

I shot it by NP 2a Plus.

I shot it at the time when one afternoon I was coming back to my home from my school via Metro on 25th of August.

Sorry I just don’t remember which camera filter I applied while I clicked it.

But I can do say this, that it is a shot which will give you deja vu vibes

This was few months ago in a car show. There was raining a few minutes ago so the road is wet. My favorite image, because the car is nice and i just got a good quality on it. I love Phone 2’s camera.

Shot on Phone (2). I used the cameras depth effect option. Love the rainy road there. Had to remove the license plate.

            Taken 20 July.

Taken on my canon 70d + sigma 17-50 f/2.8. I took it outside my local leisure center, saw some runners coming past and the sun glare through the trees, accommodated with the autumn orange leaves.

Edited using lightroom, but not much.

            Natalie ✨

This photo was captured at the Thames in Wandsworth with a long exposure technique, turning the usual light reflections into an ethereal aurora-like glow. Walking past the bridge daily, I often admired how the lights glittered on the water. Inspired, I set my Nothing Phone 2 to manual mode with a 6-second shutter speed and tilted the camera upward on the sixth second to create the aurora effect. Shot on November 13, 2024, this image transforms the everyday scene into something magical, blending the city’s lights with a touch of natural wonder.

Used Snapseed to process the RAW image and a bit of blur in foreground for depth.

            Shot on: Nothing Phone-2

            Manual mode: shutter 6 sec

            Image: RAW

            ISO: 200

This picture was taken in nothing phone (2), this picture is so special as this was shot during my niece first outing ❣️

My favorite photo of 2024 is the following. I was mainly shocked that I took it on the move with my Phone 1, with the default settings, and yet it turned out to be a fantastic photo.

The photo was taken in May of this year, in a plaza in Tres Lomas, Argentina. I like the color rendition, good range and accuracy of capture, as well as the color combination. It was a great photo.

I have several more photos from this year that have turned out very well, but most are landscapes. I chose this photo because of the perfect way it captured the kids in motion without them being out of focus.

This is Oxy…my pet dog who died during an accident …this image really holds a lot of memories and feelings for me as this is the first photo i took of him when i met him in a park roaming around searching for some food.I captured him with my phone(1) while he was gazing at the glyphs…uff what a day it was🥹😭

I really miss him and there’s no other pet who can take his place for me♥️.

Shot on my Nothing Phone 2 in macro

            2 December 2024

I was experiencing the camera module of my phone and tried to get a close shot of my eye and it turned out so well I was amazed 🥹

            I really love my “ nothing ” 🫶🏻🌸
