It took me some time to decide which photo I should enter since I have so many favorite photos that I took this 2024. After browsing through my gallery, this one should be perfect in this End of the Year Photo Challenge | 2024.
I present to you…

The Busy Street of Binondo Manila

This photo is not just a photo of a crowd, it tells a story. The tangled wires overhead create a sense of movement and energy, also symbolizing the interconnectedness of people and system. The umbrellas are not just for decoration, they infuse a sense of joy and optimism into the scene. Also, they break monotony created by the buildings in the background. This color palette evokes feelings of warmth, energy, and nostalgia.

The photo also implies texture, such as the roughness of the building and the road, and smoothness of the umbrellas, adds another layer of visual interest. This creates a tactile dimension, making the viewer feel the scene.

As overall impression, the photo transcends an expression of human experience; it becomes an expression of human experience. It captures the essence of bustling market - the energy, vibrance, and the resilience of the people to thrive amidst the chaos - making it more alive.

My goal is to make the viewer feel and be one with the whole scene, where they can, see, hear, smell and feel the moment I captured with my lens.

This is statue of equality, 216ft height in hyderabad in india. I was fascinated with the large statue and the beauty. This is my favourite photo this year. With the correct lighting in the place, photo looks more attractive. I love how the np2 phone captured the light at night without any noise.

I have taken photo on nothing phone 2. As this is large statue, this image is captured from large distance, i captured the image by zooming about 7x or 8x.

Captured on 20th October 2024 at the evening 6:30pm.

My Fav because it’s the last fire of 2024 (in my house)

My favourite photo of 2024 : -

Whether on top of the mountain in the lotus position, or stuck in traffic, the moment is ethereal.

There’s quite an interesting story behind this picture

I was on a solo trek on one of the most mesmerizing mountains in India, it was monsoons at the time and after 8 hours of intense climb I finally reached the summit.

The landscape was breathtaking, and I wanted to take a picture of myself with it. However there was not a single person in sight.

So I had to set the phone in the rocks. Put on the 10 sec timer, run on to the cliff of the mountain, trying not to slip off, sit there poker faced as if I’m in a deep state of meditation and hope that I’m done with all of it before the timer shoots off. (Why isn’t there a longer timer!?)

I honestly didn’t expect it to turn out this well. But thanks to the OG nothing phone (1) camera and bit of my “flash” skills, I was able to pull it off.

This was taken on August 25th, 2024 with hope, fear and no special settings.

I love this monochromatic shot of the London Eye which I captured using the Flashback ONE35 early this year.

The flashback camera is designed to replicate film and give a nostalgic vibe which it clearly executes very well - a lot like B&W film with the grain 🌾.

It was a difficult decision as to which I would pick for the final photograph! Good luck everyone and wish you all an amazing 2025!

PS if you look on their product page you will see that they used my photograph on the website!

This isy favourite picture of the year. i shot it with the default settings of my Nothing Phone 2, and its the cathedral of Szeged, my home town. At the time, the chrsitmas markets were held there, and the beauty of the lights really shows in the dar

Astonishing capture of 2024

This photo was taken on October 5, 2024, at 7:01 PM on Arambol Beach, Goa, during a serene evening with a gentle breeze and the soothing sound of ocean waves. While enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, I noticed a Kwality Walls ice cream cart glowing in the night light—a moment I couldn’t resist capturing. Using the Nothing Phone 2, I managed to take a stunning night shot without any setting change that left everyone impressed, even compared to photos taken by my friends on Oppo and Samsung devices. This unforgettable capture quickly became my profile picture, cherished and admired by all.

  • This is my favourite photo as it captures one of my favourite buildings in the wonderful city of Preston, in early morning, with the city waking up both in terms of footfall and atmospherically.

  • I used my Nothing Phone 1, with the default Photo mode, and a wide angle shot (0.6x zoom).

  • This photo was taken on the 14th November 2024.

  • This is my favorite photo because I felt she was going to God to complain about me for contributing to climate change and bringing inclement weather to Delhi. As a journalist, I believe photography is all about capturing the moment. Although I am ashamed to romanticize the hardship she is enduring, I would say, “I didn’t attend her funeral, but I was there with her throughout.”

Here is what I thought was the best photo I took this year. This photo was taken on nothing 2a phone without any special effects

Shot on Nothing phone 2 December 21 , 2024

In the heart of December 2024, amidst the sacred vibrance of Jejuri Temple, I found a story etched in the stillness of time. A young boy stood in awe, his eyes tracing the contours of a historical structure that has weathered centuries. It wasn’t just a photograph; it was a quiet dialogue between the past and the present, between youthful curiosity and timeless wisdom.

Captured through the lens of my Nothing Phone, this frame reminds me of the beauty in fleeting moments – where history, culture, and humanity intersect.

Taken on CMF Phone 1

Why is this my favourite?

Because this picture summarises the poetry my heart wrote for her in the skies.

Someone who used to be special to me once taught me to appreciate the beauty above us. She showed me how to find magic in the skies. Even though we parted ways for unavoidable reasons, I’ve held onto that part of our story through my newfound love for the skies.

Lately, I’ve been discovering mesmerizing paintings in the clouds. When the sky shifts to a unique hue, I like to believe someone’s painting up there. That’s exactly what happened on October 2nd, 2024, around 5 PM IST., in the outskirts of Bengaluru, India. The entire sky was bathed in a dusky shade of beige, and when I stepped onto the terrace, it felt like I was staring at a portal to heaven, a world where she and I existed as one.

Technique?

None, really. I just used the grid to centre it and adjusted the HDR and shadows—nothing more. This is 99.9% the original picture.

Phone?

Nothing Phone (1). Stock camera app.
