We already have that feature on our devices, it’s called “Adaptive Charging”

With this feature your phone will charge to 80% initially and then uses your alarm’s settings to completely charge your phone right before you need it.

If enabled on your phone Settings → Battery → Battery Health, it will charge only to 80% and will display a notification with option to force charge to 100%.

🪄 Magic happens only if the following conditions are met: 🔋

  • You charge your phone between 9 PM and 4 AM;
  • You have an active alarm set for 3–10 AM;
  • You use a good charger and cable that support fast charging. won’t work if your charger can’t deliver enough power to fill the remaining 20% in the time given by the adaptive charging function^

The best charging option for nothing phone is:

Any modern ≥35w charger with USB-C port that supports both PD 3.0 or higher^ and PPS programmable power supply^ standards.

(I use a 65w brick that supports both above mentioned technologies and it works great).

    iAlexander Thank you for the detailed info, it’s almost like an encyclopedia article! 🤓

    Wish i could try this on my phone… first need to find a good power brick, as all we know - nothing does not put any adapter with the phone… mine is a 18watt adapter from previous Xiaomi phone.

    KISHOREKG there is something already in the battery settings. It works only on certain conditions but it works perfectly 😉

      I get used from Samsung phone that I can charge my phone at any time and it’ll not charge more than 85%. It’s good for me because I don’t want to follow conditions, like have an active alarm or charging the phone with fast charging. Can you just bring brick-simple charge limiter like on Samsung and Asus phones?

      shrex in battery settings, the battery health toggle that says “if you charge your phone over night blablabla” enable it and normally it will slow down the charge above 80% (if i’m not wrong) but this work only if you have a alarm set for the morning, if you charge over night, etc… etc… I can’t remember all the condition

        I was a Samsung user for last 10 years, when I shifted to nothing from Samsung, I missed the most is the ability to limit the phone charge percentage to 85% for better battery life. Please add it in the next update.

          Certainly! A preferable choice would be implementing personalized settings to restrict the charging to a specific level.

          I would prefer 80% like Samsung has

          Plain stupid to need to have conditions to have the phone stop charging at 80 or 85% in order to treat the Li-Ion battery the way it is supposed to be treated for lasting as long as possible.

          I tried this bla-bla and after 5 minutes it was on 83%. Did not stop at 80.

          Yes definitely we need something like Samsung battery charger limiter so manually use can on off this feature.
